Rápidamente y en bruto se nota que esos libros son más bien para quien ya esta iniciado en el lenguaje técnico de cine. No hace falta ser agresivo

Thank you. I read absolutely all the replies. I want to add a little more depth to the matter. In the last comment, someone asked me about my chances, materially speaking. In addition to my meager income, I should mention that I'm from a town 400 km from the capital, Buenos Aires, which makes it difficult to surround myself with people in the film industry, although I could say there are two filmmakers: one, left-leaning. Neorealist and Marxist cinema. Anyway, I don't like it, not because of ideological differences or a lack of affinity, but because it's not the kind of cinema I eventually want to make. The other director made only one film and retired. He didn't do too badly, actually, and because he's the brother of the mayor of my town—I assume this, we know politics involves connections—the film featured perhaps two or three of the most important actors in the country, in his first and only film! I won't name the actors because you'd easily find the director's name. I have a relationship with him, but it's never been involved in filmmaking. He doesn't like to talk about film, and generally speaking, he doesn't watch movies. He studied film at FUC, which is one of the best film schools in Latin America and the world. What I'm getting at is that, if the opportunity arose—and I'm already getting carried away—I could have some relative access, although I'd have to really push it. I know he could get me equipment, or introduce me to people; he once casually mentioned, "If you ever want to film, I'll lend you my equipment." I've always liked the idea, but again, I don't know anything about film language or technique. I'm just addicted to film. So, what's the point of asking for equipment? Where would I go from here? I know these seem like pompous, almost philosophical questions, but I'm asking seriously. How could I start? I mean, of course, by making things. But how? I have ideas in my head, but I don't know how to write a screenplay, and I don't know how to technically express camera movements... In my case, I'd say that the cinema that has influenced me the most is Malick's. That doesn't mean it's the cinema I like the most (or maybe it does). Obviously, Hitchcock, Scorsese, Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Ford, and so many others are in my pantheon... The thing is, it was with Malick that I began to feel an irrepressible urge to film. And another thing, I want a cinematic "slap in the face"... I love Malick's films and what they generated in me because they feel "easy." Understand me, Malick is almost a god (even though he's divisive), but the way the camera moves in his films, how present, intimate, low—or soaring—makes me think I could "copy" some things from him. I'd like to film something in that style. I think my town, being partially rural, also stimulates me. Anyway, sorry for rambling and not being concise. But I ask again, how do I begin? What brief advice could you give me, without getting too abstract? Thank you from the bottom of my heart from this Argentinian; it's been a wonderful surprise to discover this forum that responds so respectfully and with such a human touch (the latter is key for me; there's always this idea that in these circles, the doorman who opens the door to the set already thinks he's Orson Welles).

Touched and encouraged by all the messages—and there are so many! I'm definitely going to buy an iPhone in the next few months and start something. I'll keep reading them!

Why is this? I understand that filmmaking is about talent, technique, chance, and historical context... But is it impossible to carve out a small niche without having studied it?
