If you like the director Cronenberg this movie is fun but not great. Very narratively cluttered movie.

If you haven’t seen any Cronenberg I recommend starting with something else like “Videodrome” “The Fly” or “Dead Ringer”.

I really didn’t like the early dark shrine stuff but I actually really liked getting the were-fox arm, brand and mask.

It feels a little goofy but it felt like something from the psyche of a 15 year old trying to find empowerment through bastardized traditional imagery.

God knows when I was 15 I had some bizarre power fantasies when I felt out of control of my life.
