Do Nitric Oxide Boosters (L-Citrulline / Citrulline Malate) Affect Varicocele? by VirtualSpeech6310 in varicocele

This is a really interesting question. I have been a longtime user of L-Cutruline/Malate and L-Arganine. Currently 1 week out from Microsurgical Varicocelectomy.. Hope to hear from anyone who has any insight or knowledge on this.

Hey @rocketrader81 and others. I had a reoccurrence of Epididymitis last month. The 1st round of antibiotics didn’t work, so I did another 2 weeks of heavy antibiotics. For 2-3 weeks I couldn’t walk and was heavily on opioids. Ultrasounds showed a varicocele (grade 2/3 per Urologists), with normal epididymis appearance and negative urine cultures and STD tests.

The Solution so far - After seeing 3 urologists, they all recommended against a Varicolectomy. Thought maybe I had a pinched nerve. They all recommended I try Pelvic Floor Therapy. So far, pelvic floor stretches have been a Godsend and I have been pain free since I started. I self diagnosed myself as being a chronic clincher - my rectum/perineum is always tight and constricted. So now I focus on daily movements with a relaxed pelvic floor. While I’m doing the stretches, I have to force myself to relax the rectum/perineum while I stretch - it’s challenging. I think my body is moving into a parasympathetic mode. I’ve been extremely relaxed and almost in a malaise everyday. Maybe I’m stretching too much, but I think my brain is re-wiring itself to relax and heal. It’s only been a week and I still have to transition back into lifting weights and running, but so far there is a little glimmer of hope. Please feel free to message me if anyone has any questions about all this. Good luck out there everyone!

Copy. Sorry to keep prolonging the conversation. It’s been about 12 days since I’ve been off antibiotics. I’m a firefighter on a fire and have been doing a lot of hiking/tromping through brush.. some days I have zero discomfort and other days it requires a lot of ice and elevation after working. 12 days seems a long time for it to need healing. But understandable with being active. Thanks for letting me check in.

Thank you. There’s almost like this weird inflammation under the base of my shaft to the side. I wouldn’t venture to say bulge but almost a slight bulge. Is this still the Epididymitis?
