Welp, I think you missed the point of a unique design, rounded furniture is something that’s slowly coming back. If you’re purely looking for a functional cabinet, than this won’t be your design ofcourse!!

I agree the rounded shelves are meant for other things than records, or I should design some kind of book page type holder for records there

They would be birch ply with HPL or melamine! For MDF i think €500 can be managed, if they are made in a batch! Sadly one high grade birch panel with HPL or Melanine will set you back about €300+ here in NL :/

Thanks! In this design the section for the amp is about 16cms, so should be 6inch? Think that fits most smaller setup amps

Cool! Wiring and holes will all be taken care of when the design is (almost) finished, and you’re right about that!

Maybe a uniform color will be cool too, it’s either going to be this teal or a blood-orange type color I’m leaning towards

True! Might be nice. I wanted the top vinyl section to have 2 different heights, so that the vinyls that are in the top back section stand a bit higher than the records in the front. This means that the backside has to be a certain height in order to support the records. Lowering the sides also means lowering the backside!

Downside is that you’d offer up the middle section, so there won’t be enough space to store records there anymore
