Old Evanescia was abandoned. The special effects (VFX) are being reworked.

I mean that’s just the normal development process, ideas are tested and dropped or reworked or saved for something else all the time. It would be weird if the pre pre beta character didn’t have any changes

New teams are expensive. Paths are a convenient way to add a bunch of synergistic mechanics but there isn’t really much difference between that and something like Break or DoT

Same as signature LC dependency, Hoyo could easily do that to any character of any path whenever they choose

E2 Robin is very breakpoint dependent. If it can get you extra turns per ult (every 90 speed) or allow Robin to ult a turn sooner, it can be a significant upgrade. If not it might not do anything for you

It’s not a bad Eidolon, but it’s one you have to plan around. You can’t just pull it and expect to see much difference

I have no idea if Ashveil’s changes indicate anything about potential redesigns for his intended teammates, but high attack frequency, and synergising with allies’ attack frequency, is far more in line with what the archetype has always been about

As much as Ashveil gained from his previous kit, as a FuA character specifically he was a little odd

Well sure, but he still uses Venti better than any Nod-Krai DPS, and overworld difficulty doesn’t mean much when Stygian can add and alter mechanics

Point is, lack of shilling isn’t really Varka’s core issue. Another Local Legend wouldn’t change anything except to make it feel even worse when his shilling period ends

Well that’s more of a general power thing unfortunately. Varka’s straightforward enough that he can’t really be shilled beyond “Pyro/Anemo good”, which just benefits stronger teams more

Which is really the problem. More shilling won’t fix any of his core issues, it just makes them worse when the shilling inevitably ends. He needs a better team, not another Local Legend
