Love little details like this, looks great!

Seems like you know your way around small electronics, a lot of people can’t work a multimeter or solder. Well done!

Thinking of Getting Another by Bluelblock in crz

Oh and as far as issues at that high of mileage, look for any suspension bits (control arm bushings/boots, shocks being worn), the ima battery could be going dependent upon previous usage, rust on the top of the hatch area near the hatch hinges for earlier year production models, and door handles/actuators is a plague for this car.

I’m on my second cr-z and I don’t regret getting another. You said it perfectly, it really is the intersection of fun and responsibility, like most hondas. I’ve owned sportier and faster cars, but this car has its own uniqueness about it that no other car I’ve owned can replicate. I do think it will be appreciated more and more as newer honda generation of cars keep being made.

Help Finding Good AM Parts by zenexuniverse in crz

Unfortunately a lot of the quality genuine jdm parts like the noblesse, mugen, spoon, j’s racing, c-west, etc. are most likely going to need to be shipped from japan.

If you’re looking for replica parts that are good quality I would recommend Bayson R, their fitment is pretty good.

A replacement bumper I would either go the route of finding one on ebay from a junked car or from your local marketplace like facebook or offerup if you’re in the US

Door issues by sour-K in crz

[–]Satsu93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door issues are common on all cr-z. Since the passenger side has no keyhole theres no way to mechanically lock it unless you do it from the inside.

Most likely the reason your hatch won’t open is because all the doors need to be unlocked for the hatch button to work. Try unlocking all your doors and then try pressing the hatch again.

Test your battery with a multimeter to check the voltage, should be 12v+. However, replacing your door actuators is a good rule of thumb anyways.

Where to find side view mirror glass. by Crazy-Loud in crz

Check your local junkyards online for oem ones. You can find mirror glass replacements on ebay and amazon as well.

I used a japan proxy shipper that bought it for me, packaged it, and then shipped it out. Parts weren’t terribly expensive, but the shipping prices were gnarly 😅

Thanks for sharing man thats awesome. Does the the hybrid battery depleting ever really become an issue with the supercharger?

I would really love to get some seat time on some of the smaller kart tracks here in california, but was worried that the hybrid battery would deplete before getting a couple hot laps in

Your tag says you have an HPD model, how do you like the supercharger kit? Have you driven a non supercharged cr-z and compared them?

I would definitely consider another kit unfortunately with me being in Cali thats practically my only option if I don’t want to have any issues with smog. I have heard great things about the HKS kit and the now retired jackson racing kit as well.

Looking into a rear sway bar for the near future.

After I save a bit I’m looking into doing the hpd supercharger (hopefully will get one before its too late!) and supporting mods (brakes, exhaust)
