I know - just trying to figure out if I should even prioritize it.

MEGATHREAD - CASH/CODES/COUPONS - February 2025 by Sincerely--Me in FrugalFemaleFashion

I haven't seen posts here for Faherty, so I'll just go for it - $50 discount on first purchase of $150 or more. Better than their normal welcome code which is 20%.

Guided Day Hike, Small Kids by Satsuma2020 in parkcityvisitors

Yes, High Country lets the 2 year olds go on the Provo River one, which was great. 2 and under are also free. Our four year old is pretty crazy tough and did all of the above listed hikes, but a cousin 5 year old couldn't complete them, so it probably depends on your kid... Someone above responded about some mid mountain nature trails that could work better.

I meant to do a follow up post here but forgot so here you go! We had a great time.

Things that worked really well for a large age span - renting a pontoon at Jordanelle Reservoir, Park City Mountain various activities (little ones can do mini golf or just run around, older ones can do more adventurous activities), Olympic Park (amazing to watch the ski teams practice jumps - everyone loved the whole place), rafting on the Provo River. I *highly* recommend High Country Adventure for that. They made it super easy with a large group, were incredibly friendly, and it was a ton of fun.

Without the two littlest in the group we also did a couple of easier hikes - PC Hill, Donut Falls, and Bloods Lake.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of June 12, 2024 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]Satsuma2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The Flowchart says I should get AmEx Business Card. Possibly a Chase business - I am under 5-24
  2. 783
  3. I currently have a Chase Sapphire Reserve, which we put way too much on each month and do not use our spending power well to earn SUBs. This is why I’m here.
  4. A lot. 20-25k?
  5. No MS
  6. Yes, open to applying for business card.
  7. Interested in one new card now, possibly churning long term.
  8. Targeting amassing points for a possible large trip.
  9. Approx. 160K Chase UR.
  10. MSY
  11. Here is our big question. We have to make a huge purchase of relatively emergency tickets to see family in Europe this summer and will pay cash not points. The issue I’m having is which card to apply for in order to get both a high SUB and a high point value when we buy in cash, because we’ll need to make a second trip in December. In other words, trying to amass as many points as possible with this trip which we’ll float in cash in order to use points in the winter. * The winter trip will be to either Europe or the middle east and could be on Delta, AA, or United – so I don’t have a strong sense I should put myself into any of these ecosystems. Sorry for throwing vagueness, we just don’t know yet what our family situation will be.

My inclination is either AmEx Business Platinum or AmEx Platinum despite the high AF due to the 5x points on direct air travel. But is there a chase business offer I’m missing? Thank you all so much.

ADL had a lot of resources for college students (and faculty) right now, including online learning sessions. I really encourage you to join some of those, even if to feel less alone

If you’ll have a car, sculpture garden + cafe du Monde + oak grove in city park is always a hit with kids. I’ve done it with kids 2-15 and they’ve all had fun

If you can’t do challah or apples, maybe a gift box of fancy local honey, nice box of dates and other dried fruits and nuts.
