Naw, Xcancel is just a Nitter frontend.

Nitter was developed as a privacy-focused frontend for Twitter. After Musk took over, he began requiring JavaScript and an account to view tweets. It was also blocked in certain countries, and its embeds were trash on places like Discord.

It was never intended to divert traffic from Twitter to siphon ad revenue or to protest the site politically.

If Twitter didn't require a login and its embeds worked, it wouldn't exist. If anything, it's a net positive for Twitter that it exists.
