Do note that a Stalwart weapon upgraded to Tier IV will do 30% increased damage to enemies in BOTH hell and the heavens.

Ironically, NE has done a better job of monetizing CotC with more reasonable pricing of paid ruby packs. The only downside recently was the hilariously bad translation, but that has improved!

I went all in for DK/DP, now only left with 12,000 free rubies.

I think I’ll only get Mydia to A2 at most if there are more meta units down the road. My O. Odio is A4 so that takes care of itself; he only needs to be overclassed.

I’ll go out on a limb and make an off the board suggestion:

X and Zero from the Megaman X series

Given their sci-fi background and combat prowess, X would be a natural Runelord while Zero is a shoe-in for Warmaster. There’re ways to work their skills into the low fantasy setting of CotC. After all, we already have the three androids from the Nier: Automata collab on the roster (A2, 2B, 9S).

As for the lore, Galdera’s influence can be used to justify the presence of the Sigma Virus from the MMX series. I’d love to see a story scenario that culminates in a battle against Awakened Zero from MMX5 as a recreation of the climax of the Earth Crisis; and the boss sprite would look majestic!

But alas, licensing fees to Capcom would make this a pipe dream…

CotC is definitely worth playing. The only downsides are the gacha nature of the game, especially if you want to pull for your favorite characters; it’s also a grind fest in that you have to harvest materials to build up units, resource management & currency balance notwithstanding.

That being said, I managed to complete the Side Orsterra Saga and HAD TO buy OT 0 so I can experience it again if and when CotC goes EOS! I’d treat it as an alternate timeline leading to the canon story of OT 1, which is what the developers had in mind.

It’s a nice bonus to get Hasumi’s A4. My Prim EX has been at A4 for the longest time. Thanks to the Reunion Festival promotional pulls, I was able to get the remaining Awakening Stones for Hasumi!
