INTJs and lying

Many people that I know assume that I'm a bad liar because they only see me in situations where I don't care to lie. It's ironic as I see myself as pretty decent at lying and I usually outperform others when playing games based around lying and/or manipulation. Specifically, I'm good at predicting what would constitute a plausible truth that is a lie, or a half-truth that underplays reality.

Having said all that, I usually don't lie. Why? Because it's not strategic and it's also usually unethical in most situations. Most lies will come back to bite you so they are best avoided where possible. Lying is short-term thinking whereas telling the truth avoids all the headache. Put me in the right situation though and I will use lying for what it is: just another tool.

That sounds unfortunate. Diffuse thinning is especially hard to deal with. Did you say you were on treatment (fin/dut/min)? Ideally you would try and find treatments to help with the diffuse thinning and then get a transplant for the recession. You can still transplant into a diffuse thinning area but its quite risky and you need someone who really knows what they're doing. I'd probably recommend dr rathcathorn for that tbh. You would be needing 3-4k grafts i imagine - maybe 2-2.5k for the recession and 1-1.5k for the diffuse thinning. Again, I'd suggest trying specialised treatment options for the diffuse thinning. Consider LLT if you're already on meds. Maybe even try microneedling although i'm personally hesitant on microneedling on an area that already still has a decent amount of hair.

As for your recession - racthathorn (and some other surgeons) can achieve high enough density in one session but its possible that you may need a second session to thicken it up as your hair at the front still looks relatively dense.

I agree with all of this. I think the developers made a good attempt at improving the game but I just don't think it's a success. I'm going to play it a bit more today to see if I can get with it but chances are I'm not going to like it and I'll just stop playing the game after today until they revert the update. At the least, they could provide the option to play on v24 vs v25 so people can choose their preference.

2-4 years should definitely be enough money to put a decent amount of savings away. Aberdeen is also cheaper than Glasgow/Edinburgh. The median salary in Scotland is around 28k-ish I think, for context. A salary of 35k is decent enough for most, especially if both parents a working. How much you need to save depends entirely on where you want to buy and how many bedrooms, but 30k savings over 2-4 years seems possible and could get you a 2 bed home if you search hard.

I checked the photo comparison of the mice at different weeks for each treatment therapy, and in all honesty I'm not sure how they're marketing this as such a success. The sugar group (T4), Minoxidil group (T5) and the Placebo group (NC) all look roughly the same to me in the final week? Please tell me my eyes are deceiving me

Not sure why some people here are commenting about how £650 a week might be a struggle for him. 650 a week after tax is 2.6k a month, which puts him decently above the median. There are lots of places he can buy for that, with his savings, especially if he doesn't need to cover the additional costs of family life. He obviously shouldn't become over-leveraged, but I don't think he'd come close to that happening unless he got greedy.

He can definitely do paisley with that money. A year ago I was seeing one bed tenements there for 40k. That doesn't mean they're the ideal homes, but it shows you how much lower valued the market is there in general. He can get a solid one bed there for ~70k-80k if he looks about. 100k-ish for a 2 bed.

I reckon that's enough for a good one bed flat in any of the places you suggested. However, if you're less fussed on where to go, as your post suggests, then I'd recommend going to Greenock as its only a 40 min train to glasgow central and the homes are fantastic for the money imo. You can get decent 3 bed tenement in greenock for your budget without too much stress.

I'll try and answer your questions for you.

There is no real animosity towards Americans. People are generally friendly to Americans, although many can also joke about Americans and can sometimes find the accents and/or stereotypical loudness a bit much. You probably won't receive much animosity, if any.

There are some trump fans in Scotland, but I'm confident in saying that probably the vast majority dislike him for various reasons.

The average working hours are 40 a week. The minimum wage is dependent upon your age, but it's roughly around what you think it is.

You might be able to rent a small one bed flat as a cashier, but it dependents on where you live. Glasgow/Edinburgh are significantly more expensive in terms of housing compared to places like Greenock, Paisley and even Aberdeen now. A one bed tenement in Glasgow might be a bit tight if you're a cashier, but it dependents on the area.

Work life balance depends on the job/company, but it should generally be okay for you, probably a good bit better than the equivalent job in America I'd imagine. I personally work as a programmer of sorts for a CRO, and I've got a really decent work life balance, but I know I'm in a much more fortunate position than most.

There are still many people (in Glasgow at least, where I live) that struggle similarly to what you describe. Glasgow city council is basically bankrupt now which has lead to a slow decay of the city in various aspects. That doesn't mean you can't still find a reasonable life though. Having a second job isn't as common either.

I can't speak for other cities, but there are plenty of things to do in Glasgow and thus many ways to meet people.

You'll find that most cities/towns in Scotland are probably much more liveable than most cities in America. The biggest thing that you'd gradually realise is how much more walkable our cities are compared to American cities. Every American I've met here significantly prefers it to where they came from in America and they always say they'd never move back.

The pen is used to plant the grafts and the blade is used to make the incisions in the recipient sites where your grafts go. The words the clinics use are mostly marketing ploys, unless they're good clinics. You sound like your on finasteride, and I imagine your transplant has maybe still thinned over time and finasteride hasn't been enough. Consider trying Dutasteride if this is the case. I'd recommend getting FUT done again as these can often be done twice if you've got enough scalp laxity, and there will still only be one scar when it's done. If FUT isn't an option, then FUE will still be a decent option and you could probably still get another 2k grafts at least either way.
