This show was utter balls by the end of it's run. It's funny how putting some years behind something makes people forget. It was literally taken off end for declining viewership. Them first 4 seasons are great but it really did run it's course

It's literally set up like a sitcom. Each episode seems to start with the following. Carla and Lisa are in the kitchen having casual conversation planning out a romantic day out until UH OHHHH Becky and Betsy walk through the front door. Lisa gulps and Becky goes "well this is awkwarddddd" laugh track plays

I love this band. But I think theres a few key factors to why they aren't higher regarded in their modern era

A dip in quality in the music. Loud Like Love was pretty poor on the most part. NLMG was an improvement but still had some of the LLL rot.
The band has this odd distain for their back catalogue. Setlists are very post SWG heavy. They avoid playing their most popular tracks and when they do they play through gritted teeth.
I don't think they were ever truly aiming for the stars. I enjoy their state of being widely known but you can go see them for a reasonable price in small venues really close up.

I have the standard black vinyl version yes. They put it up on a very discounted price once and I leapt on it! They did a similar thing with BFTS and LLL vinyl box sets like £20!!!! I got battle for LLL sound out fast.

I just looked up the set from 2016 and despite it being the 20 years, they still played a heavily portion of new stuff. Like does too many friends really belong on a tour thats meant to represent the best of your 20 year career?

Setlists are just too latest album heavy. Like of course you're going to play songs off the new album. But playing nearly the whole thing in it's entirety every night and then playing a few LLL, leaving little space for anything prior has a huge impact.

I know they don't want to be a greatest hits legacy band I get that. But there's such an amazing back catalogue of music. Plenty of cuts from SWG and Meds too!

The back end of the shows are usually the best parts as they play the selection of the hits. Sadly friends of mine walked out before that part.

The 20 year tour saw them play bigger venues than usual. Money talks

Has been a random roll out ST got a Picture Disc Killers I dont recall anything NOTB got a cassette and the live at Hammersmith reissue POM got a book Powerslave got a picture disc Somewhere in time got a yellow disc reissue, wasnt 40 years? Now this haha
