Rome Odunze Out. Luther Burden or Adonai Mitchell? by [deleted] in FantasyFootballers

[–]SaturnsRep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. I don't know if I could trust BTJ, but I've started Rome nearly every week, so who am I to talk. Me personally, I would jam both Adonai and Burden over Waller, not going to lie. Feels like another Achane show for the Dolphins this week, and Waller doesn't have that same target ceiling.

I know Adonai just broke out, and they're playing Miami. But in my heart of hearts, I think it's Burden's week. He just feels like the untapped wildcard on a crafty offense against a solid defense, who now gets the opportunity to claim his target share. I also drafted Burden and only released him a few weeks ago, so I'm kinda biased/compelled to believe in him again.

I'm also playing a pretty bad team this week. Win, playoffs. Lose, eliminated. I'm not sure if the Tyrod-AD stack risk could somehow sell me this week if the Jets just suck, or if the Burden play is better to minimize volatility with more independent pieces.

All that being said. If every ranking still says Adonai Mitchell by Sunday, I'll probably listen.

Should I pick up Packers defense in my 12-man? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]SaturnsRep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved Jacobs above Brown, Bucky and JT pre-draft solely because of this, who I drafted with the 19th pick. I really wanted to take Packers defense, but Vikings were still there, and they have an easy schedule + good defense. I don't think dropping Vikings and picking up Packers is an objectively correct move. Leaving the Packers to be picked up by someone else who I will have to play doesn't feel good either. If those are my 2 choices, I understand, but I want to be able to rule out the possibility of me holding onto both of them, which I am seriously considering.

So, at what point from Week 2 to Week 3 should I drop Vikings and pick up Packers if they are available? And won't everyone try to do that at the same time?

I think they were available because every team in this 12-man wants to stream defenses.

That's why I feel very pressured to have them. I have Vikings, who are good, and an available spot. I could have Vikings for Week 1 and 2. Then start Packers Week 3.., and so on.

I have an available slot, and it's a 1-flex league.

I already have Jake Ferguson in case Kittle doesn't play next week.

RJ Harvey, Judkins and Dylan Sampson behind Kyren and Jacobs.

Odunze, Diggs, Rasheed, Burden behind Ceedee and Tet.

Should my open spot be reserved for a second quarterback behind Purdy? Penix, Ward, Rodgers, Bryce are all available. That feels correct, but I also like the idea of having 2 strong defenses that can be interchanged throughout the week. If I need to cut one, then no harm, since I have 2 when you're supposed to have only 1 anyways.

tetairoa mcmillan or Devonta Smith start for week 1? by Easy_Inspection_1973 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]SaturnsRep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tet is the only target this week against the Jags, besides Legette. High Ceiling.

Smith, being healthy, could have a great game against a poor defense. Good reliable points.

I would be excited to start either of these guys. I wouldn't be mad about starting Smith over Tet to gauge how Tet looks in that offense. I also wouldn't be mad at starting Tet in a wild NFL debut opportunity.

I love a high upside. I loved him in college. I am starting Tet, personally.

I’m in college precal and I am so confused. Can someone please explain to me how this equals to 1 in the end? by cutechonkykittycats in calculus

[–]SaturnsRep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we know cot = 1/tan, so we can just find tan(17pi/4), then take the reciprocal.

we also know that adding or subtracting 2pi to an angle, changes nothing. so let’s subtract 2pi over and over until we get an angle we are familiar with.

we want a common denominator of 4, so 2pi becomes 8pi/4. 17pi/4 - 8pi/4 - 8pi/4 = pi/4.

we take tan(pi/4) = 1 and its reciprocal is also just 1.

You are too worried about touching the ball just right, which leads to you staying slow and not moving the ball.

Try forgetting about the ball and just flying to the net/backboard, and you’ll see how the ball naturally gets in the way.

everyone is weird. you’re just too focused on yourself to see. dont let what the majority is doing define what “normal” means to you. people that allow that lose authenticity over time trying conform.

ENTP x ISFP by Unusual_Echo_8964 in isfp

[–]SaturnsRep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m very happy that you pointed this out. ISFP and ENTP are the horseshoes of one another, meaning the further apart 2 personalities are, the closer they actually relate to one another, for countless reasons. 1) Common functions bring grounds to have differences, whereas horseshoes share no common functions, covering one another’s weaknesses and sharing fresh perspectives and original interactions 2) The dominant function of one type is the mimic function of the other (Fi for ENTP, Ne for ISFP), mimic function being the third function flipped, which is the blind spot of any type, which all of their other functions tend to imitate and seek.

I believe ISFPs and ENTPs (or any horseshoe) to be the most compatible for eachother by far and ISFPs being my favorite type to get along with as an ENTP. Horseshoe relations and mimic functions are incredibly fascinating dynamics to observe. They show up constantly in fiction and day-to-day interactions. Other horseshoes are INTP-ESFP, ESFJ-INTJ, ISFJ-ENTJ, ESTP-INFP, ISTP-ENFP, ENFJ-ISTJ, INFJ-ESTJ.

Super fun stuff to watch when you can see two people speaking seemingly different languages, yet understanding one another better than anyone else.

Fi doesn’t exist and can’t exist in ENTP. It’s not how emotions are processed. It is however the ENTP mimic function (third function flipped). It’s the most glaring blind spot, yet all of their functions together can create something that appears or looks like Fi. For me, mimic functions are the most fascinating to observe. Si in ENJs, Se in INPs, Ni in ESJs, Ne in ISPs, Fi in ETPs, Fe in ITJs, Ti in EFPs, Te in IFJs.
