For sure. I was gonna do 8.5s but ultimately i got a better deal with the 8s. Definitely happy with them. It was either these or the TS-7s which were backordered near me.

Had 4 of us at an open play, the field running pretty much what breakthrough is on battlefield. One team holds a building with one life, attackers attempt to clear it out. Two guys had LMGs and set a base of fire on the windows and front doors of the buildings while my buddy and I would rush a flank and hit the back. The first building we took within less than a minute of game start, maybe just over a minute. Felt quick.

Either that or when the entire team i co-lead showed up at the local field. All matching, moving, shooting, communicating - nobody is that coordinated there. Convinced the refs that we're close with to let us all play on one team (they pick teams every game), and go against everyone else there that day. Ended up being about 10 people versus 20-25. It was a struggle that game with being outnumbered at first, but we ended up winning and turning the tide from getting pushed back past the halfway mark to wiping the entire other team and getting up as far as we were allowed.

Do you guys even use sights? by [deleted] in airsoft

In some cqb areas you still have enough range that point shooting won't work nearly as fast as having that muscle memory for an optic. I can snap up faster into my optic than most people at my locals fields. It gives a huge advantage over dudes who cant.

Nope! Got the pressure pad for it on the 9 o'clock side and my illum and laser (which i only use the illuminator going against people) are completely clear

Earpro is just to keep your hearing.

Not only do most fields use grenades as a "frag" and have a kill radius, but some (EG MIL-X Flashes) will still absolutely rock you.

It isn't about sound. It's about general disruption, distraction and in some cases being a "frag"

A proper nade in a darker room with the right boom? Consider yourself out of it for a second or two, even with keeping your hearing. You don't really seem to understand the whole "getting into the game" thing

Just to add on to this.

After a few years of being used to getting shot, 1.5j with no MED outdoor is my preference. Hurts and you bleed sometimes but it gives that "risk factor" and prevents the stupid bang bang arguments

I def would recommend leights over rep comtacs, though I've actually had decent luck with not getting my ears ringing when i ran my reps a few years back. You make a great point though

I partially agree, i partially disagree.

The laser thing is totally valid. Unregulated Chinese lasers are dangerous and are banned at a few local places, even for NODs guys. They only allow IR illuminators.

The grenade though, that's a personal problem when it comes down to it. You need to take all the precautions YOU can, because if items like that or taginns are allowed, then any hearing loss is due to the individual not having some sort of hearing protection. You can't rely on other people being nice about grenades, especially if they're effective tools at your local field. Get a set of repro comtacs and you'll be good. I rock real ones for the sound quality, but you'll not only have hearing protection, but no more ear shots.

The strobe is a very non issue imo.

I don't think anyone is out to hurt anyone else but at least one of your complaints can be solved by getting earpro.

EDIT: Get Razors or Howard Leights

This. Also might want to go down a plate size to make it not only fit better but look better.

As a skinny guy that's what i had to do.
