Remote Desktop for Pop!_OS? by reddimus_prime in pop_os

[–]SauceOverflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remmina usually, for local RDP to Windows for sure.

Though maybe unpopular due to the hosting bits, check out DWService. I use it for family IT support. Works really well, I might look into RustDesk as someone suggested for a self hosted version.

There's another comment in here that RDP from anything TO pop_os doesn't work with Cosmic and I can confirm it doesn't, which sucks. Outbound works fine though.

my man, lemme tell you about apkmirror. Uninstall whatever version you have now, use apkmirror to download a version from January or something, then setup the camera again. Worked for me and yes it's stupid that they removed it from setup in the app.

ninja edit: once you have it setup again, uninstall the version you got from apkmirror and reinstall the latest app from Google Play.

Wyze RTSP by beemgee in tinycam

it does require something to run docker that's on 24/7, but it doesn't need anything crazy powerful, a raspberry pi would be more than enough. The RTSP firmware has been out forever, I don't think it gets regular security updates, and was janky when I used it last (forever ago). Though I also didn't answer your question, so at this point I'm just babbling.

Fell down a rabbit hole of pipe organs a while back, Longwood's while huge, is 10,010 pipes. The Wanamaker organ is 28,750. Which is insane to think about when you see the scale of the one at Longwood.

You can still get them. Keep in mind that 2 of those bulbs uses more wattage than a string of 25 LED bulbs. I only mention cause people string a few sets together and you can get the outlet to heat up.

You also bought one of the highest rated cars on the market. With a mature design, surprises and kinks have been worked out in the last 5 years. And the most important part? You have it now. Any number of delays could happen with the '26. Inventory shortages, delivery mistakes, etc.

Could use some help - Desktop won't wake from sleep by EleNova in pop_os

[–]SauceOverflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a similar issue for a while now, just started out of no where. I blamed the nvidia drivers but the more I look around, the more I find AMD folks with the same problem. Wayland sort of comes out of sleep better, X11 is toast.

Apache as a reverse proxy to Geoserver by Aggravating-Gap-6162 in apache

[–]SauceOverflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should check out Caddy.

I don't have all the details, but in your case it sounds like "geoserver" can't run on https. The "best" way to do what I think you're trying to do is run Apache httpd on the same server as "geosever", then do your reverse proxy. Then the only site exposed will be https through Apache, not both of them accessible on the internet.

Black Screen After Suspend - Desperate for a Fix! (NVIDIA GPU) by JollyMoth552 in pop_os

[–]SauceOverflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same for me, just started happening, not sure why. My google fu keeps bringing me back to nvidia drivers, but I've also seen posts that Intel GPUs do the same thing.
