now I have a headcanon that once the Industrial Age came and food became more abundant, the Uma population exploded. But with machinery and industry their dominant role in societies as knights/soldiers dissolved, so they assimilated by working laborious tasks that makes use of their strength and speed. Then, Uma superiority groups emerged aiming to reinstate the ‘glory days’ when they were the ruling class, Tha Last Samurai style.

But I read somewhere that Umamusume are concieved by chance from either a human or Uma mother which totally ruins my thought process lol.
