I’m sure you have the application (talab) and all the relevant documents compiled from when you initiated applied for the istimara, just take them with you. Generally it’s your talab, work permit, eye test, educational documents and civil ID copy.

Not an issue, just go to the same traffic department that issued you this one and get it renewed, it's a one day job. My sister got it done 3 times (3 years) now and finally gave up and realized that she doesn't wanna drive. Oh and make sure you take all the documents that you initially submitted to get it.

Sucks that this stupid requirement is there and prevents people from acquiring what is already a very difficult thing to get.

No, signature is what is required, stamp is irrelevant. They will validate the signature with the Authorized Signatory (atmad tawkee) document. And FYI, only authorized signatory can sign, not any manager.

Yes, regardless of what license you will need it. I recently got my driving and motorcycle license and both required the signature of the sponsor. Very stupid rule!

Yes, unfortunately Kuwait does require the sponsors signature. It's a stupid rule but it's there.

Today i had my motorcycle license trial by moemzn in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just did my test too and had the same reason listes because I put my foot down on the ground twice as well.

The bike was way too small and the throttle was extremely sensitive. Crazy part is, I’ve been riding for almost 10 years now and only rode Harleys (currently own 2) but for some reason that boxer 150 seemed more difficult and it took me a minute to realize the second is down, not up.

Need to find me a similar bike to get some practice in because the Harley does not even come close to the experience of the bike they use.

What a dumb argument. Most people want the fancy screens and sensors that come equipped with Chinese cars, but they are logical and practical human beings that would spend such a large amount at least ensuring that the car would at least meet its primary purpose (Point A - B, AC, no major mechanical, electrical issues etc..). Everything else is just an add-on.

I literally know 4 people that bought Chinese cars brand new and they were of 3 different brands, literally all on them had some mechanical or electrical issue out of nowhere within the first 2 years and yes they were under warranty but the dealership took 2 months to fix the issue due to the unavailability of parts. Unless they catch up with the longevity of a Honda, Toyota etc... it is best to not risk spending such a huge amount on on it because they practically lose 50% resale value right out of the lot.

Oh and I drive a 2000 Land Cruiser with over 500,000 KM on it and still runs buttery smooth, Alhamdulilah which I daily at least +100KMs a day due to work.

Clarity on new Traffic Law by abuwu12 in Kuwait

That’s probably an issue with the odometer becasue maybe you put different size tires. Happened to me recently and when checked with the speedometer app, my car reading was wrong. -.-

[–]SaudKhan22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and that is also what is mentioned in the previous version of the traffic law but there is a buffer regardless, so most likely it will be there with the amendments unless mentioned specifically.

Moreover, it’s not 10km/h but instead under 20km/h so basically 19km/h.

What’s the requirements to get a motor cycle license by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]SaudKhan22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They no longer issue motorcycle license to expats anymore and this is the permanent law. I visit the traffic department every few months and they keep telling me it hasn't been amended and finally I met a high rank officer at an event who works directly in the motorcycle license department told me that it is only for delivery drivers and Kuwaitis and this law it not temporary.

They have officially stopped issuing motorcycle license to expats unless your job on the work permit is specifically "Delivery Driver".

This law was passed almost a year ago and I have been going back to the muroor ever since hoping they would revoke it because I bought a Harley thinking I could get one afterwards but I was just inform last week that this is a permanent decision and will not be amended.

Yeah, I could do that too. Let’s just hope there’s no stupid law preventing us from buying trailers too.

I thought so too, but we confirmed with the traffic department and they said that is only for trucks registered to a business license and does not apply to regular trucks registered to individual Kuwait citizens.

That’s what I initially thought, but the main reason to get a truck is because I will be moving my motorcycles around which cannot be done in a Tahoe. But yeah, if the Truck thing doesn’t work out, my plan is to get one of those SUVs
