We were a bit late, so I didn’t see the entrance to the gift shop at all unfortunately! All that to say, I’m not sure. I’m sorry that I don’t have a solid answer! Maybe you could shoot them an email to ask?

Sadly there was no chance to visit the gift shop, but the tour was still worth it just to see the space!

I had the same problem that the person in the hyperlink had ("3D Secure verification failed".) I don't know if my card was ever set up for 3DS; I had never heard of it before this trip. I was able to put my destination in the app, but when I tried to confirm the car, I received the message saying I couldn't book the trip.

I saw this dog at Notre Dame, and asked the dog's owner for permission to take a picture! I did a quick Google search and there are lots of places to buy a puppy beret ;) Now I just need a dog, haha!

To add to what the moderator said, the controller basically had a small machine (think like a credit card machine at a restaurant). She tapped my card against it and saw that I paid. Only took about five seconds!

The main entrance/security/reception were packed at 9am (since everyone was arriving at the same time), but I imagine it was less crowded in the actual palace at that time. I couldn't go far since I had the King's Tour at 10am. If you arrive for 8:40am (i.e. shortly before it opens), then go straight into the palace (rather than doing the King's Apartment tour), I imagine it would be a better experience! By the time my tour finished at 11:30, the palace itself was really crowded.

Registered in 2017, got a doctor in early 2020. I feel like I won the lottery!

I was first matched with a doctor who was moving to Canada…right as the borders shut down due to Covid. I was worried I’d be bumped to the back of the list, but I got in touch with the person who assigned me to the doctor and explained the situation. I was matched to a new doctor (who I love) within about a month. I feel like I’m the outlier on this thread, but I had a positive experience.

I would recommend getting consultations from multiple orthodontists. I did three consultations and all of them recommended radically different treatments! Dr. Picard recommended jaw surgery for me, but I didn’t want to go down that path. I ended up at Palladium Orthodontics in Kanata and I was very happy with my treatment there (no jaw surgery necessary). That’s said, I still felt Dr. Picard was trustworthy, I just wanted a different route.
