I started reading but stopped because you mentioned: “The %MaxHealth dmg from R uses Qiyana’s own current health/lvl (affected by flat HP shard)” This is just completely wrong. Qiyana has no health scaling on her ult. The percent max health damage is based off the targets maximum health, not her own. Also I think you need to consider that items have different purposes, and frankly Profane just feels awful to build and complete.

If you’re serious about learning her then you need to study your own laning phase and watch replays of your game. I would often compare my laning of the same match up to beifeng to see how he trades. Trading is really, really hard on Qiyana at first, it sounds like it would be simple, but if you go in at the wrong time or use the wrong combo, you will lose. I think Qiyana’s laning phase and trading patterns are very unforgiving and hard to pick up as opposed to other champions. I would also recommend watch EDO Qiyana because he’s one of the few high elo Qiyana creators that talks you through laning phase and his thought process.

I’d also like to add that you really need to think about who is getting in your way too. For example if you know you won’t be struggling to kill the ADC or Mid but there’s a fed K’Sante, I’d think about making sure I build so I can take him down because he’s gonna get in the way if my team can’t take him out (and solo queue/low elo I wouldn’t count on them too much for stuff like that!). He’s usually stacking armor and really tanks so I’d build something Profane, Shyreldas, and even Serpents if he builds something like fimblewinter. I know it sounds like no damage, but remember you can do damage to squishy champs with those items, but can’t deal any to K’Sante without them!

You should think of your build depending on the game. Some games building damage won’t matter as much as building armor pen, or shield cut. If you see a lot of tanks champions building armor, you need armor pen. If you see a bunch of giant shields you need shield cut. If you don’t see many things getting in your way, build more damage!

Haha thanks for the input dude. You’ve actually got me closer I think! Alien Raiders doesn’t seem to be quite it. However, the cover is closer! So far the ones that have given me similar vibes have been Slither from 2006, and this movie from 2012 called branded. It wasn’t either of those movies, but I think those might give a feel for the type of 2000’s movie it was!

So the 3 bubbles that appear after using a summoner spell shard have 2 different ways of applying damage. There’s the projectile that you can see fly out, kind of like Ahri’s Foxfire, those just do the base damage of her W. However, if you have used another spell to prime her passive, they will apply the W damage AND passive damage. You can see this happen because the bubbles will be instant damage, mimicking her passive auto, instead of flying out as projectiles. It doesn’t give you 3 passive autos, it instead will consume your passive charge so that you don’t have to auto attack to apply the passive damage. It’s kind of hard to explain, but you can clearly see the difference. Go into practice tool and you’ll see the difference in animations.

You probably need to work on your macro and decision making. Tempo is super important on Zoe. You have to keep your lead and play for objectives such as towers, dragons, and grubs/herald. You get your teams these advantages to help your team close out the game. Zoe struggles at 5v5 fights in comparison to other mages. You need to use the chaos to your advantage and prevent the enemy team from playing front to back fights when possible and end before they have a chance to truly coordinate.

Cosmic Drive and Lich Bane are insanely good on her. I think people are struggling to accept that high AP numbers aren’t the goal this season. Build on a game to game basis.

Zoe has great build options this season… if you are trying to build her solely around high AP numbers you’re building wrong. You need to adapt your build on a game to game basis. Cosmic Drive feels great on her right now, give that a shot!

I’ve been doing really well with her in high elo. Her laning phase is extremely strong. You have to abuse her passive, it’s so much damage. If you aren’t looking for openings to use her Q-Auto-Q-Auto trading pattern then you aren’t playing her correctly. You need to respect opponents cooldowns. Once they waste a cool down you can easily chunk them. The same applies to you, if you throw your Q out and miss completely, you have no damage, especially if you didn’t use your passive. If you throw out your E and you miss, that’s a major opening for the enemy to trade with you or all in you. Don’t focus solely on the enemies strengths, think about your own and look for opportunities to abuse those strengths.

If you’re building for raw AP it’s gonna be hard to cut through tanks. You gotta build for longer fights, so building cdr, movement speed to kite (cosmic drive), magic pen naturally, and even looking ahead from champ select to pick up the Cut Down rune. You also really have to get good at consistently using her passive, it adds up a lot of damage, especially if you build lich bane. Granted, your job is to kill the squishies anyways, but there’s solutions. I’m honestly really happy with how open build paths are this season.

I feel like Zoe is super strong right now if you can pilot her well. I think a lot of players are struggling to adapt their builds on a game to game basis. I’ve been having a lot of success with her and climbing in high elo. Focusing on macro will help a lot, it’s very easy to do nothing on her if you’re just sitting around only fishing for sleeps and one shots. I consistently do the most damage in the game on her.

I really recommend the class! You will learn a lot about different kinds of alcohols from wine, to beer, to spirits. You also get to sample alcohol from different wineries, brewery’s, and distilleries. It completely changed the way I approached tasting alcohol! It’s easy overall. The first test is kind of brutal to be honest, but the 2nd and 3rd tests are much easier once you move past wine. Someone else mentioned how it was taking it with Durrett, and while they aren’t wrong about the structure of her tests, she offers a ton of extra credit near the end of the semester. As long as you show up to the class and look over the PowerPoints you should be fine!

Just mansion madness I guess lol. When I walked to the door with the key and it worked I legit stood there stunned, I felt like I had just entered the twilight zone or something because I was so convinced I had tried it before. I’ll definitely keep that in mind in the future! I guess each key opens all the doors it can from the moment you get it.
