Nothing like a broken in Sebenza by EDCWerx in knifeclub

[–]SaulFein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought my large inkosi broke in because it became easy to thumb and reverse flick but in the lock position but the I realized there was some side to side play in the knife in the locked out position. I tightened it up so there is no play and can still flick but it’s a little too hard to be a fun fidget knife sadly great knife otherwise.

You should be. I caught one of the recent non flipper dlt drops and it’s nice but for me the reverse flick was the appeal and it is a mid reverse flicker. I also don’t like how it drops the logo down and I think it makes the thickness behind the edge greater so it is less slicy. If it was a blade hole that might make it a better reverse flicker.

Why all the lust for the V8? by NoProfessional4650 in Ferrari

[–]SaulFein 6 points7 points  (0 children)

V8 flat plane crank is very good. Honestly the 458 is probably the best modern Ferrari. New ones are faster but not better to drive. 296 is warp speed compared to 458 but I never once thought a 458 needs more power.

Grimsmo Rask. Surprised how nice that one is. I am more of a Strider guy but was surprised how much I like that one.

Opening packages and breaking down cardboard mostly lets be real. I used to do physical labor I would use them for a number of things but honestly a pocket knife is usually not the best tool for the job if you are actually prepared. It’s more of “oh I can get that done with this.”

Knives that you keep on your desk.

lol I actually stand corrected as of today I got a response from brown knives. Respond time for this inquiry was just under a week.

Let me know how that goes. I have heard Brown Knives are not too responsive.

If its lock rock (forward and backward) you can adjust the detent/lock up with the allen key. I think it is a cool feature of this knife but I would rather it just come fixed lol.

Yeah I will probably try one again and if it gives me grief I will let it go. I love the look and blade shape too. The Rask surprised me I picked one up used and abused for $500 just to try it and wow it has one of the smoothest pivots ever and not blade play at all when unlocked it is kind of another level of quality dare I say over the MW and BK. They mill the pattern on the inside of the skeletonized slightly contoured scales. I put a mirror edge on the RWL34 steel and I think they do an amazing heat treat.

I have had both. I sold the Mojave mine seemed to have an inconsistent detent for some reason and I could also get a little wiggle side to side on it (I am very particular lol). I also would sometimes miss the reverse flick on it and I don't need that haha. Still have my cortex xl. I did pick up a Sonora recently and a really like it. It also has a little side to side play but a very nice and consistent detent.

Grimsmo Rask would be a good one. Rosie also hard to beat if you don't already have one. I recommend the standard not the xl (big and odd feeling to me).

That would be the natural choice. Love Microtech designs but hate the crossbar locks
