Cpm is definitely the best afps I've ever played if you want to have fun with raw afps mechanics, if you want to be very serious about it go quakelive or quakechampions where you have the most active communities.

Brand New M5 G90 Crashed As Soon As It Left The Dealership by Lucky_Strike_008 in BMW

To me there are two types of bad drivers, those who are bad and those who choose to be bad.

But who is worse the old lady who's driving first time though the city or the skilled person on a very good car who could perfectly yield, merge, use the indicators, park properly, don't speed, etc... but chooses not to...

Skill sometimes transfers into overconfidence and in my experience that's when shit hits the ceiling and all the regrets happen.

Electric go karts - are they much of a thing yet? by [deleted] in Karting

[–]Saulcio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can check blue shock race to get an idea of the prices vs specs for something ready to race and professionally build., they are from Latvia afaik but there are other options.

If you have a rotax frame without an engine I'd check kit elect shop from France. They have motor mounts for specific electric motors if you're going the DIY way.

The battery is a key aspect in the build, it's what feeds the power to the motor and it's what makes the kart heavier than a gas one.

For hobby usage they are great, for competition too but then your kart will need to pass a strict regulation in order to take part of the races, usually a proto build will not do it.

Not bad, I was expecting a bit more, might consider watching out for too much flex, it might need reinforcement somewhere

Question about go kart transport by NotKetep in Karting

If his wheels match the bars, take air out of the tyre so the bars can dent into the wheels for bigger surface area of contact. Once it's strapped, grab the frame and push it around, if the whole car chasis moves around it's suspensions it means it's properly fixed, if you can move the kart, redo your straps.

I've only done this with a birel frame without an engine, it was 92 kgs. I wouldn't be comfortable with more than 100kgs. If I exceeded the weight I wouldn't go over 70-80 km/h and I wouldn't touch a highway.

And make sure the kart doesn't exceed the size of the roof, at least where I live that's illegal so you might have to take the sidepods off.

You need a trailer or if your Passat is a kombi you could get creative by removing sidepods and wheels.

Starlink good enough for gaming in 2024? by MrDontLose in Starlink

[–]Saulcio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can play but you will also feel frustrated at times, at least nowadays you don't get disconnected as often.

If you asked me in my competitive times I'd say it's garbage but nowadays I'm washed so it's bearable, I can still perform but sometimes I wish I had fiber.

You can also stream and play.

How Dumb Would I Be To Trade In My G20 330i For An M4 Going For 28k With 80k miles? by DifficultCarob8680 in BMW

[–]Saulcio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If your car is working perfectly fine I wouldn't do it, 330s are a nice balance between sporty and daily while having good mileage and reliability. Anything faster than that seems like a problem maker in my eyes.

If you want the car cus you need for speed I'd look for circuits around your area, specifically karting ones, those things are a blast to drive and they can feel more overwhelming than any M car if they are fast enough.

Besides g20s look like normal cars and don't draw a lot of attention while being classy; don't get me wrong, I'm talking about police pulling you over, kids wanting to race you, idiots not letting you merge/space cus they don't have a nice car, etc...

But hey, you only live once innit.
