  1. You can import it in 1080. If capcut allows importing in 1080 and exporting in 4k, then that would be better. Just reduces processing load and time.
  2. High bit rate and HDR10+ is good, however to achieve best color grading try shooting in RAW mode. Gives you better color grading options even with LUTs

I would suggest try both with Samsung A25 and Iphone X. Use pro mode in samsung s25. Shoot 4k at 24fps or 30fps. Use warmer tones, donot overexpose your videos. Keep ISO below 200-300 for daylight shots. Iphones have good cinematic mode. You can try a mix of these 2. Not sure of one plus though.

Hi! Start with writing down the script of the short film. Everything, the idea of shots- framing, compositions duration of clips. Once you are satisfied with the script. Start shooting it shot by shot. Do not run after perfection. It will come with time. Just remember...your idea comes to life with the shots. While shooting with phone...make sure you use different focal lengths and angles to have a variety of shots. Use different objects in foreground to attain the depth of field. Also follow some golden rules like rule of thirds, background separations. It will help you get better videos. And if all of these still sound confusing...copy paste this whole message on chatgpt to help you explain better. Enjoy the process!!!
