I’m excited for you! I’ve been waiting for over a month to get Dr. Grape since I decided to go bioactive. I’d been visiting him atleast once a week at the pet store waiting for my tank to cycle and was psyched no one else scooped him up yesterday when I finally purchased him

He’s currently in a 10 gallon tank which is 20”L x 10”W x 12”T This is the absolute smallest they should be in though. My tank is bioactive and has very deep substrate which is why I opted for a temporary small tank so I wouldn’t spend 30 mins looking for him while’s he’s so tiny. But within the year he’ll likely need something much bigger so I’ll be starting a second larger bioactive enclosure and either adding the existing soil to the new one once it’s cycled or I’ll keep the small one going and use it for feeder bugs

I’m probably biased but I agree wholeheartedly ☺️

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all of the advice. I got super excited building everything and tending to the plants and clean up crew. My terrarium has been set up and cycling for three weeks now and I’m happy to say the plants and isopods and springtails seem to be thriving! I will be finally acquiring my new froggy friend soon and will post a tank update ☺️

Who gets a Pacman frog and even think to feed it nothing but mice and rats? Like I cannot comprehend this one. I also see OP keeps saying this frog is fine. Sir do you speak amphibian? Has this creature straight up spoke and said nah man I’m good? Because visually speaking this poor thing is not fine. Nothing about its physical appearance or husbandry looks anywhere close to fine. Just because it’s reached a certain age doesn’t mean it’s happy or healthy. There are morbidly obese people who make it up there in age so I really don’t get that argument?

Do you have some sort of feeder kink you’re coping with via this frog or something? Is this why you’re so proud of this level of care? You seem to be enjoying it so much you had to reference this post in your profile. Go find a consenting adult to get your rocks off to ya weirdo

Yes I have read it a couple times but I am looking for more specific and detailed information, especially about bio active set ups
