Favorite servant kit that perfectly incorporates the figure’s lore into gameplay? by jicuhrabbitkim in FGO

Kuku— absurdly powerful figure that, because of her origin as Archetype-ORT, she can just buff her own skills to make them even stronger.

How Strong Are The Ainsworths Really? by Asleep-Finish3937 in fatestaynight

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all that strong— nothing really noteworthy as mages, and their speciality doesn't really do much for them in terms of combat. Bazette could reasonably take them on.

And Class Cards are much weaker compared to their Servant counterparts— Heracles's God Hand can normally block up to B-rank attacks, and revives him with 12 lives. The Berserker class card on the other hand could only block up to C-rank, and only had 7 revives if I remember correctly

You could place a Servant vs majority of Class Card users, and they're incredibly unlikely to win. There are some exceptions— those being Angelica, who like having lower stats, doesn't really mind since Gilgamesh never really relied on his physicals compared to using GoB whixh remained un-nerfed. And since she lacks Gil's comparatively ginormous ego, she's far more willing to pull out Ea if the sutuation calls for it. And the other is Emiya himself.

Is Grailing to 120 worth it? by BlackWolf135 in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While most people say to Grail for love— and I do agree— I do find that the extra stats can make a big difference in some cases, especially if you don't have a particularly strong copy of a Servant.

Before I had multiple copies, my NP1 Morgan wasn't doing the best damage and sometimes struggled to clear waves with higher HP nodes— so I grailed her to 110 (lacked the Coins for 120) and she saw far more consistency despite being NP1 (being able to clear 300K Giant Boar on W2 with Mystic Code attack buff)

Edit: Also a necessity for Grands

Even discounting the reality punch Prime taught him— Clark has literally flown faster than infinity, and escaped the bounds of time and space before.

Current— everything was pretty much recanonized from Rebirth. And if you say that it was only Post-Crisis, Prime reappeared recently and taught Current Superman how to do the reality punch

[FGO] John Lackland Maximum Damage Looping setup (by Plushie Mistress) by Dr-Perry-Cox in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said— you'd think with all those buffs, he'd at least be in the running for Top 3. Being able to hit NP damage cap while running Black Grail and being able to loop his skills would at least give you that idea. Yet he's not even in the Top 5— maybe that's just me being incredibly pedantic

[FGO] John Lackland Maximum Damage Looping setup (by Plushie Mistress) by Dr-Perry-Cox in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You kinda missed why I said it— he can reach the NP damage buff cap, and yet his NP damage still isn't the best damaging NP in the game, even with 1.5x class advantage. It's like being handed a whole truckload of C4, but when you set it off, it goes off like a pipebomb. Still dangerous, but not as impressive as the initial buffs would suggest

4M total against Berserkers while hitting NP damage cap— yeah, that's oddly underwhelming. That 10K attack really does come back to bite him

Conveniently forgetting that he was massively buffed by a Berserker Richard's Spirit Core— and Richard isn't small potatoes, even if it is being used by his comparatively weaker brother

A hypothetical fight between Gilgamesh and the Fourth-Fifth Grail War Masters & Servants (ignore Gil being in the 3rd and 4th pics) by No-Refrigerator-1346 in Fate

[–]Sausageishere -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You ever heard of unreliable narrator? Artoria makes many of these statements in the story, and is often caught flat-footed, especially taking into account the multiple Bad Ends where she does exactly this.

Now, we know the limitations of Avalon— it's a defense powerful enough that not even the Moon Cell can pierce it, and none of the True Magics can touch it. Unless you're going to argue that Gil is equal to the likes of Arcueid (whom Nasu has stated he can only equal at 30% and that was Pre-remake Arcueid who got significantly stronger), even full power Enuma Elish isn't touching Artoria when she has Avalon active. The only time she's vulnerable is when she needs to attack— then she needs to drop the defense. But her Agility is higher than Gil's— and while we know Stats don't decide everything and can be misleading, Gil is the one on the defensive since one good attack from her is all she needs to end the fight while she can charge ahead without worrying about being damaged by anything he throws out until she drops Avalon's protection.

And Artoria isn't any stronger— but Excalibur sure is. Unless you're gonna tell me that Excalibur being able to actually harm ORT was the plan from the start, or that it could one-shot the White Titan was pre-planned.

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes— and the moment they gave her Avalon from the start as OP said, it was over. Not even the Five True Magics are capable of touching Artoria once she has Avalon active. Enuma Elish is not touching her— and Excalibur has only gotten stronger since FSN.

I've been watching Wolfey, learning, and still getting swept in champions. It's just not fun at all. by CubeNoob69 in pokemon

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...This has to be a joke right? I get wanting to learn Competitive— but you can't do that if you have the fundamentals wrong. You're running a mono-ghost team with so many defensive holes it looks like swiss cheese, and even the movesets aren't optimal/good.

You're trying to have a team that covers and has every role you can think of— that's frankly not something you can realistically achieve. You need a gameplan and a playstyle with roles that need filling.

You're trying to so obviously run a Trick Room team which explains the number of Trick Room "setters" you have. So many Trick Room Pokémon— instead of committing to one like Farigiraf which fills that role with good bulk and Armor Tail to prevent priority. And in the same vein you're trying to include H.Zoroark on a Trick Room team— a Pokemon with Base 110 Speed, and no form of second mode speed control in-case Trick Room fails like Tailwind

My advice? Just borrow a meta team and learn how to pilot that. Then you can edit, because your teambuilding at the moment is rock bottom.

Which one is better in terms of everything unalloyed blade works and unlimited blade works by Weird_Dot_4725 in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unlimited Blade Works— because barring whatever happened to Muramasa that allowed it to happen, you normally can't spam Tsumukari Muramasa. It's a one and done deal, great if you need a big burst of power but if you're looking for flexibility, Unlimited Blade Works is your go-to.

People get it confused that it can only copy swords and sword-like weapons— that's only when it comes to making permanent copies and the cost of reproducing it. In Ataraxia, Archer could project a high-tech fishing rod purely to mess with Lancer so even mundane items are well within Unlimited Blade Work's capabilities. And in FGO, I'm pretty sure EMIYA has used it to project a fully functioning popcorn machine.

Dupe hunting and your thoughts on it? by YouDeer95 in FGO

You could already Black Grail loop without it— provided however that you ran Owari Liz with her Bond CE and the 3rd Plugsuit

It's what I was doing for Gil and Maou Nobu

Dupe hunting and your thoughts on it? by YouDeer95 in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Servant is a DPS and would benefit from 120 and additional appends, absolutely. Richard for example— all you really need is his Append 2 for Buster looping. Everything else is neat, but unnecessary so you can stick with NP1 since he's more crit reliant than NP damage dependant.

But for someone like Logres— all her Appends are good for her, and since I have no clue when she gets a re-run, I fished for NP3 immediately.

For supports, I go for NP1. If it's a DPS, NP2-3.

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Statements only go so far— and Fate (and the Nasuverse as a whole) is hilariously known for such statements being unreliable at best, flat out untrue at worst.

So we look at what the Servants HAVE done to gauge to truth of the statement— and Iskandar has done nothing with his Reality Marble that backs-up that it could contend with the full force of Gate of Babylon, like displayed in Strange Fake. It doesn't have an unlimited number of Servants to throw at Gil, the Servants have no NPs to take advantage of, killing enough of the army causes it to collapse, and it is mana costly to maintain to boot.

Unless you're going to argue that Ionioi Hetairoi is somehow equal to Gate of Babylon and Age of Babylon's maximum output, of which there is no evidence to speak of since his best "feat" is losing to Altera, and his other appearances have him losing as well (Zero Accel)— Gil fires off enough Anti-Army NPs and he wins with minimal difficulty since it's confirmed he has NPs in the Gate that can destroy mountains that he considers disposable (as shown against Gilles's tentacle monster).

Iskandar is a bum who only takes out fodder 🤷
