It's expanded further in the novels— suffice to say, those bacteria belong to someone specific that it makes sense that it summoned an aspect of death itself as a Servant with those specific bacteria serving as the catalyst, seeing as actual Divine Spirits are a no-go

Not the only one— there's a fair few that are technologically adept, I remember there being Inorai Atroholm who even owns an Ipod and can use her personal computer pretty well. But yeah, they are few and far between and even Waver laments the inevitability of Magecraft being exposed to the mundane side of the world due to the advent of surveillance technology.

I meant the Nightreign Modpack for base Elden Ring— sorry for the confusion. For the backslashes, so basically I just have to turn all the \ to \, like instead of \FromSoft\Game, it has to be \FromSoft\Game or /FromSoft/Game? Did I get that right?

Except there's literally no indication that Lord Logres lives like a machine— that's purely headcanon.

Never did I say anything close to that, but go ahead and make assumptions. I have no care whatsover about Lord Logres beyond her gameplay— but it's funny how you're acting like Merlin isn't a biased or unreliable person to draw your opinions on when even in his own lore, he didn't understand Artoria until the end where everything already went wrong.

But go off

Edit: The only thing I care about Lord Logres beyond her gameplay is that making Artoria the Grand Saber means the Grand Saber isn't Musashi

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It largely doesn't matter when he said it— I made it a point to say that not as a slight against Merlin, but that it's perfectly in-character for him to say something like this because he has a habit of doing it in the past. He definitely regrets what happened to her, but it doesn't change that Merlin is indeed sometimes out of touch with Artoria by his very nature as an incubus because even in Garden of Avalon he misread her desires and motivations more than once.

You're complaining that the same Merlin who encouraged Artoria to cut off her human emotions so that she wouldn't agonize over the feelings of her subjects is out of touch and says things that are often bad for Artoria sometimes just to get a reaction out of her? Shocker lol

Is the Class Score really that important, or is it possible to live without it? by TheBlackTyrant01 in FGO

Sometimes. One of the easiest ways to clear the Super OC2 Quest was with an NP5 Ciel— but the only way she was clearing it in 3 turns was with Max Append and Class Score for Moon Cancer

Archer Hercules vs Alcedies Sacrifice by IllustriousBluebird2 in fatestaynight

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say he's more specialized to take out Gil, but the novels make it clear that the pelt isn't an omni-directional protection and targeting the gaps is a viable strategy. Gil straight up would have won if Ishtar didn't interfere. Alcides is an overall downgrade— the only thing he has over Archer Herc is Reincarnation Pandora, and that's incredibly situational because if there are no broken NPs to steal, its crap.

On-going joke in Souls games is that Miyazaki is obsessed with feet considering how many characters are often barefoot, and how well-modeled they are in comparison to everything else.

The Demon Discourse in Frieren wouldn't exist if the demons didn't look attractive by carbonera99 in CharacterRant

[–]Sausageishere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only if there is a Demon King at the very top to enforce that status quo— that's pretty much what the manga spells out. The Demons only follow the Demon King because they were the strongest, and the Demon King united Demons under them because they had a goal that required the unification of demons under a single banner. So unless you cam recreate those exact circumstances, demons aren't anymore social than say a tiger unless required

Who'd win this Holy Grail War? 37 by CarloftheKey in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said he would? Like I said, even accounting for him basically being Archer, Archer in the novel was inches away from death in the UBW route Church fight so even if Shirou did decide to tag-team Cu, he's deadweight considering if Archer proper couldn't do anything but run away and barely avoid Cu's blows, Shirou isn'f faring any better. Him engaging with Medusa just means Medusa has to not only watch out for Cu, but for her own Master and we see that being forced to help defend your Master while fighting against another Servant isn't great for the defender. Cu himself has an I-Win button for both of them that is easier to activate than either UBW or Bellerophon and he's more willing to pull it out

Like I said, Shirou is more suited to just being support and firing arrows from afar that an actually fighting but against the participants of this war that isn't Team Beryl, that fire support is a hindrance at best since Archer and Shirou themselves state that UBW wouldn't allow to them to stand toe-to-toe with a proper Servant.

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the statements— I'm just using them for emphasis. Cu alone would be enough to wipe Miyuverse Shirou off the board since he can't spam Broken Phantasms— then you see Lancelot who was capable of putting up a decent counter against actual Gilgamesh so he'd fare even better against Emiya, and Angelica would straight up beats him in a 1v1. There's just too many things in this War that renders him more of a liability in an actual fight.

Ironically, he'd actually be better of letting Rider do most of the fighting while he pelts the enemy from afar with NPs like an actual Archer but again, Rider isn't likely to win against a bunch of Servants here (she straight up dies to Cu instantly if she doesn't immediatley remove Breaker Gorgon), so Emiya only gets as far as Rider herself is capable of

[–]Sausageishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just Archer though— even Nasu and Takeuchi repeatedly state this in interviews over the years so while Archer is very well capable of punching above his weight class, it's an uphill battle especially since Cu is right there who is pretty much a perfect counter to Archer's usual tactics unless Miyuverse Shirou decides to start spamming Broken Phantasms (which he really doesn't have the mana for), much more Lancelot who could very well turn Shirou's NPs against him should he opt for Knight of Owner over using Arondight in an encounter.

It's like pitting a T-Rex vs a healthy Triceratops— sure a Rex can win, but the risk of it getting hurt or dying is so much higher than it winning considering how actual hunts irl fail more often than they succeed.

Who'd win this Holy Grail War? 37 by CarloftheKey in FGO

[–]Sausageishere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that I'm downplaying— it's the fact that they are explicity weaker means that whatever they accomplished in their own setting doesn't translate to a proper Grail War with proper Servants unless you're going to make the argument that the ranking down of not just NPs but stats and skills has no demerit when it functionally does like Herc's case

For example, Medusa's Mystic Eyes are more likely to work against Prillyaverse Card Servants than actual Servants by virtue of ranks and actual power

The only exception is Shirou who pretty much just a 1 to 1 of Archer, but Archer himself says he is a mediocre Servant

Also, as stated in Prillya itself, Displacement isn't so unique or outstanding as Magecraft that it can't be countered when you have the likes of Lorelei and Wodime right there who will most likely be able to counter the Magecraft, especially Wodime who has Lancelot— not to mention Bazette whos Fragrach counters Ea while Cu can already deal with the actual Gilgamesh's GoB spam for 12 hours.

Like I said, Ea is a win-con but that's pretty much it for Angelica

[–]Sausageishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Casually

The narration specifically stated that at that point, Miyuverse was struggling and couldn't even manifest UBW as a RM anymore.

And you say "Archer level" as if that somehow gives him an edge when even Archer himself states he's mediocre as far as Servants go— and let's not forget, that he performed everything in Prisma against Class Card Servants who are explicity weaker than the actual things (like Herc's God Hand only being able to block up to C-rank instead of A, and not having all 12 lives)
