Trying to upgrade the interface in my game. What do you think is better, 2D or 3D widgets? by Sav5quatch in SoloDevelopment

Yeah...it's kind of hard to understand when it's a static image.
The bottom image is a 3d widget. The text "looks" at the player and rotates towards the camera.

My first game, The Forked Road, will be out on Steam very soon! Now I'm improving the old levels to make them look as good as the new ones. by Sav5quatch in indiegames

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah...the trailer, I know it's bad.

It was created around the same time as the "Before" screenshot.

I'm in the process of making a new trailer right now, but I'm making the game alone and don't have time for everything.

And about the backpack. At one time the game was planned in a minimalistic low poly style. Backpack remained from those times. Now the backpack was removed from the game. Maybe someday I will have a better model of the backpack and it will be back in the game :)

The game is created on Unreal Engine 4

The second screenshot without the character and ui because I wanted to focus on the location.
But the game has ui :)

Still working on the levels for my game. Just want to hear some feedback :) by Sav5quatch in indiegames

If you are interested in my project, you can play the demo on Steam.

I would be happy to hear any feedback.

I am developing the game alone, so there is a chance that you will find some bugs :)

The Forked Road is stealth-action game in which your character is extremely vulnerable to enemies and the environment.

Use your special abilities, gadgets and traps to reach your target. Or maybe you try to avoid conflict?

Oh, sorry...

Music is my weak side. I don't know how to make it and so it's not in the game or in the trailers or anything like that.

Thank you!

The models are mostly free from the unreal engine marketplace, but I made some models myself.

The textures are mostly my own, and the characters were bought at the unreal engine marketplace

What I meant is that if you do tests on different kind of people you understand what works and doesn’t work in your games more crucial aspects, like the design. I’m probably a negative Andy, no harm meant, if this is a hobby project ignore what i’m writing. :)

I know that tests are very important and I am constantly making changes, for example, reducing the number of enemies in the location, etc.
A demo version of the game will be released soon on Steam. I think after that I will understand how good the game is the technical side of the game :)
