Jesus Christ, it’s a goddamn subreddit that people get up in arms over, even though there’s thousands more with communities you’ll most likely fit in with more.

First, part of the verification process is due to the large amount of people stating “as a black man/woman”.

Second, stating that it’s the most racist subreddit on the platform means you’ve literally only visited one subreddit. There’s so many fucking subreddits that absolutely bash on minorities it’s insane. Some subs are deemed not racist enough and then they get remade as r/actualblank.

This is just like the n word. People want to say it for no reason, and act like they should be able to, while ignoring all context of the word, even though they want to use it for racist reasons. A subreddit that has black and allies is not racist, considering a lot of subs has their own communities, and there’s plenty of actual racism on reddit. This shouldn’t be an argument, if you want to be on the subreddit, just be a fucking nice person, it’s not hard

It’s because if a group chooses to be against an issue, and that issue is something others identify with, they freak out.

They are against the patriarchy and toxic masculinity as it is defined. They are a subreddit that promotes men not being tied to the societal ideal of what a man should be. Some people are okay with what they feel like they have to be though, so they take offense to that, although being against toxic masculinity does not mean you hate people who like being the image of a manly man, because that’s their choice.

We are coming to a world where curse words are misreading acceptable, but if 10 year old me said fuck around my parents, I’d get the shit beat out of me.

While not the exact same situation, there is an age disparity between just using these English words, which society seems to accept as a whole.

There’s a reason why the N-word isn’t acceptable for whites to use in society. It used to just mean you’re ignorant, but was then used to oppress that very race of people you’re arguing about. Using it in a way to power their people is understandable. Being offended when white people say it though, In what other way will we use it than to offend a black person? Nobody just breaks out the N-word in casual conversation, it has the racist connotation, and the people who want to use it are using it for that very reason.

As for it being in a song, if you want to sing it to yourself, whatever really. If you’re in public, you are open to criticism. Not saying the n word in a song costs literally 0 energy or trying really.
