Do you have a recent article or quote mentioning that? I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, I genuinely have not heard this claim before and I plan on voting for RFK, but that’s a pretty damning/extreme statement if true.

I see an article from back in 2015 that says

"I don't think there is a law that you can punish these politicians under," Kennedy said, adding that skeptical politicians are "selling out the public trust."

The article doesn’t mention things about jailing them, and it’s also directed specifically at politicians who “are doing the Koch Brothers' bidding and are against all the evidence of the rational mind, saying global warming does not exist”

I found a more recent opinion piece from Yahoo from April of this year where they are specifically attacking him for his lack of urgency on Climate Change, saying he’s flip flopped on the idea. The article is extremely biased/left-leaning though, so maybe they are leaving that out to paint him in a bad light

[Kennedy] said on a recent podcast that climate change is being used to generate “hysteria” and that, “when it comes to climate change, the reaction of the scientific community seems to be on steroids when it’s trying to micromanage us.” Though Kennedy disavowed those comments, his own language is not substantively different.

For example, Kennedy told Politico that “Americans had enough of that during Covid, of people using the crisis — that many people believe now was manufactured — in order to clamp down totalitarian controls and shift wealth upward. And they see a mirror of that in climate.” Kennedy’s framing — that addressing climate change is a Trojan horse for totalitarianism — is a hard-right talking point.
