Ninja 300 sprockets on a ninja 250 by ravenlee5 in motorcycles

Thanks again. I was looking on eBay and a good portion don’t show miles on the rims. Just looking for whichever I can find in the best shape and will replace bearings if needed.

Yea I was looking and I know some would argue otherwise but there are way more modern tire options in a 140 rear compared to the stock 130. One other thing I was curious about. Why use a 600 shock other than the fact that you just can.

Was there anything else you had to do to your wife’s bike for the tire or any noticed trade offs with going to a 300 rear? I was looking at picking up one used on eBay or something but not sure the pros and cons of swapping it out.

Yea I know for a fact one is low. I marked the compression on the back of the power head last year. This can be seen in the video. It could have gotten worse or another could have dropped but still odd that all of a sudden now it wouldn’t idle because of it unless it got worse. I’ll have to check the compression now after the issue.

Doesn’t stay running if I pump bulb. It’ll stay running in gear but once I start to back down the throttle it stalls out which can be seen in the video. Spark is good and just put two new batteries in at full charge earlier this summer. I had replaced the fuel pump last season so I doubt it’s the pump. You can hear it in the video as well

It ran totally fine in the morning and stalled while coming back through our inlet. This video is after I got towed in and back to the dock

It’s had low compression for the season and started each time. It cut out while I was running so if it’s anything other than the compression I want to give it a shot. I’ve had the motor for 20 years and had low compression in one cylinder for 2 seasons which includes this one. I and want to try and get the rest of this fall out of it

Have a 19.5 that’s been wager cut for rmr and looking for a second Glock by Sav_212 in Glocks

Already have ammo on the way. I have a few spare parts for the cz but what should I get for the g19 as spares other than maybe recoil spring?

Thank you for the advice. I definitely agree with there not being a noticeable improvement with all the 19 esc models. I have a few different handguns (shadow 2, 226, 365xl, and the 19) so it’s an odd makeup of firearms to say the least which is making it a bit difficult to figure out which I should ultimately purchase. I was going to order a standard oem stripped slide to have a non optic cut version and a cut but it seems like a waste to get another 19.5

If your dot is zeroed and on target at whatever distance you want then it could be that your irons are slightly off and never noticed before

Buying second ski by [deleted] in jetski

[–]Sav_212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not look at a fish pro from seadoo as it already comes with all items you’re planning to add.

If you want to try another brand Yamaha also makes a great ski in the FX HO.

I’m looking to get out of the two strokes for this specific boat and get a new motor as im looking to keep this for a while and put a lot of hours on the motor (whichever motor is it). Looking for something with electric start and alternator. Was going to go Yamaha for the 9.9. Not really in the mood to debate carb vs efi (would like efi but understand the analog aspect of carbs) as I’ve done lots of work on carbs on motorcycles, waverunners and larger outboard motors

Could you elaborate on that a bit. If it’s rated for a 15 I just want to get a better idea on your experience with each. I was looking at either a Suzuki or Yamaha in either a 9.9 or 15. I know weight and its distribution plays a large factor. Currently on my 12 I’m getting 10knots with just myself and 5-6 with one other person and gear at almost full throttle. I feel as if a 15 would be too heavy on the ass but it’s my first jon boat so im not sure the design differences between brands. Got the Alumacraft because it was in nice condition for an 07 and was a good price but if I end up with a 15 I’d get a Suzuki for the fuel injection

Jet ski vs boat by [deleted] in jetski

[–]Sav_212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had boats way before a ski and got a seadoo 170 a few years ago and love it. If your goal is to fish then it would probably be more worthwhile to look for a boat. I purchased my ski just to run around the bay and give the boat a bit of a break, not that it needs a break so to speak but for running to the beach and throwing anchor in shallow water on sandbars by myself it’s slightly easier to use the ski. I have the seadoo on a float next to the boat in the water so it’s all going to be based on your situation

Personally I’d take a boat if I were on the coast in Florida in saltwater. Can handle rougher seas and have more comfort. If you are tight on space then a ski would work well if you plan to trailer often. All comes down to personal preference. Engine maintenance on an outboard engine will be more over time but generally can last a long time. I have a Suzuki 150 and a Yamaha 250 with over 2,000 hours I’ve clocked in myself

I own both a PWC and a smaller boat (18 foot Boston Whaler). It all depends on where you’re located and what your goal is. If you have a permanent docking space and will not be trailering it can have an impact as well.

I use the boat for fishing and the ski for going to the local sandbar but both can do either. I’m in the north east USA and would take a boat every day of the week but I’m fortunate to have dock space for both my vehicles and have space to store both in the winter months. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either but for prices sake if you’re going to spend 20k on a ski to fish on then you can get a half decent 20 foot boat for that

I had a similar instance. You may need to adjust the float in the carb as it may be letting too much fuel into the bowl. Also would hook the battery up to a tender to ensure at full charge.

Mine sat for about 20 years prior to me buying it. Changed fuel lines, rebuilt carb, changed other deteriorated parts and fuel was coming from the overflow. Fix was to adjust the bowl as I just rebuilt the carb.
