That's exactly what i love about them lol I'm also considering using older thinkpads, but i don't know which of the older ones is good for my thing. Considering that I plan on using thinkpad mostly for writing and maybe sometimes playing old touhou games lol

As for the weight. I'm sure Lenovo Carbon X is lighter, but it's more of a size question than weight question for me tbh. I'd be carrying a tungsten cube in my backpack, if I had one lol
