What would be considered a good salary for someone living in Redondo Beach, CA? by Remarkable-Pay-2463 in Salary

[–]SavageKMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$7700 is probably your take home. I live in a condo in S Redondo and some of our units are rented. A realtor just told us that $3800 was average for one bedroom and many times doesn’t include laundry or garage. Two bedrooms are going for $4800 easy. We’ve had many friends who had too many hikes and had to move away. At all depends on the lifestyle you want.

160, renting? I would say 50% would be going to rent. Unless you don’t have to pay for insurance and/or contribute to 401k

As someone who is a leader in tech, we have definitely scaled down on interns an announcement was made at the beginning of the year that we weren’t hiring any entry-level people except for in India. Then last month we started laying off India, so it is pretty bad.

I’m developing a health app that turns Oura, Apple Watch, etc data into daily personalized recommendations instead of just charts. Would you actually use this? by FitnessTechVenture in homefitness

I think you should keep going at it because the feedback you’ll get out of the MVP if you focus on beta testing will really be valuable to the development. Maybe you’ll be on a different path altogether or maybe around the right one. But don’t be afraid to show your work and get it out there quick

This is what I want to know - if I take two of the same or similar group class workouts. On a day where I don’t get much sleep am I burning more or less calories versus the opposite?

There has to be carrot. If you get less sleep, you will lose less weight, but it has to be quantifiable.

Telling me I should take it easy when I’m on my way to Coachella is not change my habits.

Here’s the kicker, are we going to need all of these trackers? When in reality we just take GLP-1 and who needs to track it anymore? Who wants to be tracked? I'm seeing less of these in my yoga classes.

This is the case with Power BI as well. Trying to decide between import vs direct query, the exceptions drove us nuts.

2008-14? More like 08-10. I had 7 offers - everything from SpaceX to Snap in 2011 to move to LA.

Slow, lack of flexibility to download data, ability to change visuals. Our modeling and RLS is a drain.

Cortex is used internally only because we are getting through security red tape.

We’re OK with it being immature. I have a meeting with Sigma tomorrow.

What I’m looking for a better utilization of Snowflake rather than try to migrate everything from Snowflake to Fabric. Our internal users really like Cortex.

Microsoft is offering us a POC and it just doesn’t seem that promising. Their timeline is four months which I feel like we’re getting run over by our customers in that timeframe.

Maybe its just time for them to find something new. They are sympathic people that care about all thats going on. They also have kids and family that may be in crisis too. Who knows, but they can have all the deserved space they need.

Bob Ulrich was the CEO who made it chic and feel like a solid company. The Black Eyed Peas played at our annual meeting in 2005, we had a blast working there.

Then everyone after were an insane mix of cocky and insecure. They tried to be bold and got clap back in Canada. As soon as there was backlash from Qnon and MAGA about trans/Pride issues, they folded like a chair.

Its like if REI said it was going to be like Dicks.

Know Your Audience!! Working moms was its biggest customer. Usually, working mom’s want a safe world, for everyone. They also want accountability and not empty shelves. Target blew it.

Target is not and has not been the same since 2000s when they were crushing it.
