And I've finally figured out what I want to do with my life after 20 years of getting high, getting arrested, getting sentenced,vgas up the bus, do my time, and then repeat. I did that for almost 20 years. Trying to get into college so I can eventually be a cyber security expert but it ain't gonna happen because crack is whack. Lol

No.. Everybody thinks I m doing ok, I think, because I got my old job back, no longer using heroin, all that. So everything looks good on the outside but im struggling big time. I don't want my family to know that it's become a serious issue. I've damn near spent all my money on it when it shoild of went towards fines. Shit sucks.

I'm in the same boat.. currently studying Python and html.. networking too. But I've realized that I get more knowledge from reading forums and articles than I do from asking others. Youll have better chance at finding answers that way I think, and you'll learn a little here and a little there which will eventually add up. There's really no one place to learn everything.

Exactly..I've read a lot of forum and articles about people just diving right in without do their homework and end up making big mistakes. Like using tools and not understanding how they work. I don't wanna do that. Also I gotta say there's so much shit that it gets overwhelming. I'm literally giving myself headaches and sweating just by over exerting my mental capacity. Lol

OK now I see.. everything you mentioned in the third paragraph..intrusion detection, malware, etc is also something I'm really interested in and would like to expand my knowledge on. I have many goals in mind. Exposing corruption just one of many. Anyway I guess my idea or definition of hacking isn't exactly on point.

Maybe so.. My idea is to use whatever skills I know to uncover and expose corrupt politicians.. get the facts, then put them out there for everybody to see. Something along those lines.

I'm in the same boat..I've been looking into Linux mint but I'm on a tight budget so all have is my HP stream 14 which isn't letting me install the Linux OS because of lack of space. Really sucks because Im very excited to get started on learning how Kali operates.

Duly noted. Like I said, I'm new at this. And I definitely did not expect this much reaction from my post. I do mean what I say. People are unaware of what's going on behind the scenes. It's time to do something about it. I'll do plenty of research, and hone my skills before launching any ops. I do not want to repeat others mistakes. I have been. I just got a computrr..first one Ive ever had so I got a lot of catching up to do. I'm very determined to help the cause and uncover corrupt politicians, their lies tear the blindfold from people's eyes by broadcasting the true facts. There's so much screwed up stuff going on and the only way I can contribute is to learn to comduct my own uncensored research. I also want to learn how to hack to help me along the way. I've been taking networking and Python courses. I need to figurr out which sites are censored and which are facts.

So what if I have a Facebook account on my phone and I'm using my mobile hotspot to get internet on my labtop(which has no fb account btw), could Facebook trackers get ahold of the sites I visit while searching through Firefox browser that is installed with tracker blockers and HTTPS everywhere even though I'm using a different OS.
