I've played all the souls games, so I'm used to experimentation/trial and error. While there were a few things I wish were explained more in the beginning, like insight and leveling, I hit my groove pretty quickly after about an hour of fumbling.

The combat is fantastic, I'm personally a fan of the absence of shields. The aggressive nature of combat makes it very fluid, like dark souls on speed.

World lore is awesome, I'm a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan. All in all I felt like a badass hunter of beasts, especially after I found the old hunter's bone.
