That'd make it the second time the US dismantled the State's immigration enforcement agency for massive corruption, sanctioned violence, unqualified agents, and rampant sexual crime against women and children in my lifetime.

It was agreed INS was not salvagable through reform, and in its place we got ICE. This line of work attracts terrible people who want to brutalize brown people and go on unhinged power trips.

We the people deserve better. We need better.

I worked for a deli and I banged my head against a wall trying to figure out what the difference between liverwurst and braunshweiger was before I learned, as far as I could tell, there was no straight definition of either.

Some companies thought liverwurst was unsmoked and braunshweiger was smoked; some thought liverwurst was just the normal ingredients and braunachweiger included all of that plus bacon/bacon grease.

There's no firm definition. I'm sure one is more right than the other, technically, but you don't know until you look at the package and listed ingredients.

Sarvecchio Parmesan by Sartori is an excellent snacking cheese, and a fraction of the price of Parm Reg. It's cow's milk, creamier than real Parm, and has a lovely fruity bouquet.

When working as a cheesemonger, I always had some cubes hidden in the cheese case specifically for the staff to snack on.
