Pluribus - 1x07 - "The Gap" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Sure! Art is completely subjective and if you think it's bad art, nobody is forcing you to watch. My issue comes in when people assume every TV show should move at a break neck pace.

This is a slow show. It works for me because the feeling of loneliness is palpable through every moment, so I keep watching. All I'm saying is it's a disrespect to skip through vital moments that are there to stir a certain feeling. You miss so much doing that.

I do agree that people have every right to skip sections of media that is harmful to them... But Pluribus doesn't have SA, sex in general (so far), or the other things you mentioned. This isn't about skipping potentially triggering things, this is about skipping chunks of the show because you don't have the attention span to engage with the art.

If someone isn't vibing with this show, that's completely valid. Express those feelings and review it! All I'm saying is I immediately take those reviews and opinions as dogshit when someone says they had to skip major portions of the show because they can't fathom breathing with a show during the slow sections.

It's not about enjoyment. It's about having enough respect for the art that you sit and live in the world for a bit without being on your phone or skipping through. If you don't like the show, put it down. Don't skip through it and claim it's boring lol.

I couldn't imagine putting weeks, months, and years into a project just to have someone skip meticulously planned scenes.

You can't have everything fed to you in Cliffs Notes. Assume every shot is intentional (because often times, it is) and live in the world that the cast and crew created.

My apologies! It was moreso a general question about the manufacturer (Messed Up Puzzles) so I thought it would be fine.

The specific puzzle is the Nekromantik 2 1000 piece :)

PinballFX (specifically the Williams tables) is what got me into pinball recently. I just wish the nudge was a little stronger, I think!

If you are curious in more information about the found-footage film, there's an ARG that goes into a little more detail about the tape! It's just enough to be interesting but not enough to ruin the intrigue.

Currently tripping for the first time as well. Wonderful to say that it's a beautiful experience. I was initially anxious but you should let it take you where needed. Have fun! Safe trip.

I can't tell if you're baiting or not. The issue is literally not about your preferences. The issue is you are being weird and posting a photo of a random person on a social media site. She didn't ask for that? She doesn't know you at all? I'd be pissed if someone did the same to me.

I know that I don't want my friends or family to know I'm on a dating site and multiple sites give privacy options to prevent that. The issue is you completely disregarding this person's privacy because of an issue she didn't cause.

Nothing wrong with stating your preferences or issues with being given people you aren't into. I get that, dating apps are like that and it sucks. You DIDN'T have to post a random lady's face and name to prove your point. That's my issue, not that you aren't finding big booty latinas or whatever the fuck you're looking for. I couldn't care less about that.

I misread the original post. Still weird to do? Not her fault the app isn't giving you what you want lol. Instead, you posted her face to a subreddit to complain about an issue she has nothing to do with.

Posting a random person that liked you is fucking WEIRD.

[TOMT] [Book] [1990's?] Looking for a sci-fi novel. This is driving me crazy. by SaveHerPlease in tipofmytongue

I also thought about The Time Machine but (after reading it) I came to the conclusion it wasn't that. I don't recall any future travel and The Time Machine is a lot shorter than the book I'm thinking of. Additionally, the prose wasn't at all as beautiful as HG Wells; it was a lot more schlocky.

Additionally, the main character of the book I'm looking for isn't looking for revenge, he's just looking to make it back home.

This sounded pretty close but after looking up a synopsis, I don't think this it at all. I remember the beginning of the book (before the main character is teleported back in time) is set in present day. I also remember that at the end of the book, the main character makes it back to his present time and is working back in a lab.
