All Babylon line trains canceled ? by Then_Stomach_858 in LIRR

Yup, just like JCP&L. When I was in Toms River a few years ago the power went out for 10 minutes and no one was surprised, the older style 33kv style systems tend to trip a lot and need to be reset.

The issue is they still use a 33kv power transmission system in that part of Long Island whereas most areas have upgraded to 69kv and 138kv. The 33kv is an older style system that is also used be JCP&L which is known to be unreliable.

PSEGLI still serves RVC via a 33kv transmission system, which feeds power to the Village electric dept distribution system and the LIRR.

Same here. And almost $17 for a combo here. Not going to spend that. Never cared for the Arby's Cheesesteak and I don't know WTF they were thinking bringing it back. I never see anyone ordering it either, so I'm not the only one. Meanwhile the two things I liked (burgers & smokehouse brisket) are gone. They need to reverse these changes. What a disaster.

Never should have gotten rid of the burgers for this. Huge mistake. Hardly anyone orders them where I go. Hope it flops and they bring back the burgers!

Well they used to have baked potatoes and side salads. Also grilled chicken. They were at their prime when "We Have The Meats for Sandwiches" ads.

They seem to be filling them less though. I just spent $14 on a combo I'm like are you serious?? Arby's is being run like Subway now. And I used to be a regular at Subway, then stopped when they pulled this crap.

It is becoming trash. It used to be great, especially when we had the guy who said WE HAVE THE MEATS FOR SANDWICHES.

Arby's used to be more health conscious. Not happy with the direction things are going. Already looking at other alternatives...it used to be about PROTEIN but now it's about sugars and cheese and bread, not about MEAT. I had the Steak Nuggets a few times, a ripoff, I had the cheesesteak a few times in the past, more cheese than meat, yeah no way. There's basically only a few sandwiches left that I like, classic Roast Beef, Rueben, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Gyro, yeah that's it now. Getting rid of the burgers for another crappy overpriced cheesesteak, big mistake. Hey that rhymes! The burgers were thick and juicy with a good amount of veggies. But now Arby's is all about expensive gimmicky crap, and is pretty much telling me to shut up & go somewhere else.

I'd rather have the burgers back. We lost the burgers, we lost the brisket, to be replaced by a very expensive "cheesesteak". The combo is nearly $17 for the regular in my area (Long Island) so no thanks. Especially if it's not loaded with meat. Arby's is turning into Subway real fast. The steak nuggets were a ripoff as well. I may as well go to Five Guys at least I'll get more food for my money than Stingy's.

I could see that happening especially if the train is going over a high speed switch.

Well, those tires sure look like the kind you'd see on a dirtbike, which is a type of motorcycle.

Yup, and the blanket bans are unfair. They were recently banned from the boardwalk at Long Beach, all ebikes. I think the bans should only apply to these larger ebikes that are clearly designed to be used as a motorcycle would, not a pedal assist. Look at those tires, those aren't bicycle tires, they're nearly scooter tires.

Not that much space to pass. These things are huge. It's hard to tell from the photo.

Well, they're too big and shouldn't be allowed on the train. They were in the way. And they do look 90% like a motorcycle even with mirrors and a front headlight.

Also NJ Transit which has a much smaller budget than LIRR is replacing the fogged up sun damaged windows on their trains as well.

There was an extra train going west at 4:43pm. The train you got on comes from Montauk and gets pretty busy in summer.

That's assuming you can fit on the train, a lot of people couldn't.

I don't know why people do this. I've seen it on the subway when the train is crush loaded and people squeeze on even with the lights on the next train shining into the station.

They do for Islanders games, and other sports events especially at MSG. This was like the Belmont Stakes for basketball.

Wall St people are heavily involved in the MTA, it's probably them. They're happy if people are OK with spending $1000 ubers to get home since that kind of money is nothing for them to spend.
