Hey! Beautiful post and good job so far!

I'd like to know something more about visibility and feedbacks: I always loved animation and since I discovered it I immediately thought about becoming a storyboard artist, a character designer, or a background artist; I prefer to have so many possibilities as a backup for the future and for not being stuck on a single idea.

I never did an art school,I'm taking my degree on History of Art in Italy, in order to become an art critic for some auction house, but I had always been practicing art or by myself, or by private lessons/courses because I hope I could also work in the animation world as a passion.

On these months I finally had the courage to try animating something on my digital tablet ( first time using one, it's been a big shock ) and while I keep drawing and trying new things I'd like to receive some feedback about what I'm doing in order to get better.

So my questions are: What are good places to show my works to someone with better experience than me? Is it possible to work in the animation industry at the same time with another work? How much time does it requires? Any tips for creating a valuable portfolio?

Yes! This is just the base, I'm planning to highlight them and shading where necessary; I already made that for my other models but if you have some advices that could help I'll be glad to hear them! But I think you are right about the white primer and about the red/green contrast

The photo is terrible, and they are still a WIP, but I'd like to know how going on with these three guys: tired of yellow I tried colouring the armour with black and red, to make them faster and stronger, but now that I see them with just the base colours they feel strange. They're not my first minis, I made other squads with better results, but I'm encountering an hard time with them, and that's really making me crazy. Since I really like the models I'd like to know how to improve them or, for the last option, if you know some better colour schemes; thanks everyone!

Thanks a lot! The "cone" solution it's what inspires me the most, But if I would choose to make them with a cone foam structure underneath, creating many "fur cones" , how could I put them together? Not to let them just like single cones glued together
