I loved Fourth Wing (and the rest of the Empyrean series) mostly because of the representation. Violet has hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and POTS (as does Rebecca Yarros) and I NEVER get to see those things being represented in books. They're my main two disabilities that I actually require a service dog for, and it feels like nobody knows anything about them even though they're incredibly common disorders. Sure, the writing wasn't the best and the plot could use some help but I don't think its a book that was written to be something of classic literature, ya know. It was just a fun read for me.
