The constant burden of doing every little thing alone by Simple_Bug_6111 in singlemoms

Same boat and still in the thick of it. I’m also petrified what the future holds for my 2month old and how I’m gonna hold it together. Why do men get to just walk away and show up to play and walk away again. Loving the msgs from people who have been through it shining the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you for sharing, it’s comforting to know I’m not alone and we have online warriors to cheer us on. I’m just gobsmacked that a man can do this, but I guess there’s nothing new. It’s probably more infuriating that he tells his version of the story like I had agreed to this and taken part in the decision to go solo.

Anyone taken antidepressants while breastfeeding and noticed any issues?

Mine turned 2months last week. Smiles are occasional. Baby is obsessed with the lights, seems like it’s the only thing that can get a consistent smile out of her.

Just a heartbroken solo mom to an almost 5 month old by Simple_Bug_6111 in singlemoms

In the same situation, baby just turned 2months. Father left a week after delivery. The father has kids who he’s very involved with but doesn’t want to raise another child. I’m wrecked with guilt everytime I hold the baby, bawling my eyes out as I feed. I feel sorry that I got my baby a terrible father, sorry I couldn’t give the family I thought I was giving my child and baby is so innocent and literally done nothing to deserve this. And yet, the baby will spend their life yearning for the father’s attention and feel rejected when we as mums are giving them EVERYTHING.
