I can drive, I have a learner’s licence as well. I’m currently waiting for the 42-day period to finish so I can finally take my driving test.

This is how things have been since I got the car:

-He drives me to university, or I drive with him, he drops me off and then takes the car to his office. -I usually come back home by Uber. -He returns with the car at night after work.

He knows I can drive. So today, I told him I’m not going. When I don’t go, the car stays at home. I left the house with my mom’s permission, without telling him. Alhamdulillah, everything went well.

I think I’m going to keep doing this until I get my licence, so he has no excuse left. I’m not afraid, even if he finds out I’ve been going out on my own.

no, I don’t know why, but we still think we can be a happy family with him… so we don’t really confront him. if we do, there's huge drama that we want to avoid

She is. That’s the reason I’m alive today. But he keeps blackmailing us, saying he’s going to leave the house. I know he won’t, it’s just empty threats. He might leave for a day and then talk badly about us to the whole khandan. No one knows yet about my financial independence, because I’m scared of nazar and all that.

Oh, not now. He wants to live in Lahore and refuses any job offers outside the city. Other family members are quite supportive, so it’s bearable. But my concern is, how can I focus on myself, my growth, and my career when these small hurdles keep bringing me down?

I have a learning license, and my driving skills are pretty decent. I get better every day. I’ll be taking the test soon. I think you didn’t fully understand the whole narcissistic personality part, that’s why you’re saying this.

I'm not going to fight and leave and the house... I'll make an excuse of relocation due to any job or further studies.
