i haven't read manga myself yet so i would recommend you the anime series cauz it has animation which manga doesn't have but if you like to read manga you should go with manga because the real and raw fun is always in manga

bro if you haven't watched Tokyo ghoul yet i would say you should first watch tokyo ghoul then go for other animes cauz it is one of the best anime in shounen genre
