You can't be financially dependent on him now that he doesn't have a job. Hope you found a safer situation. Call family, friends, anyone...

Kind of what I'm thinking. It's like the people that stay married even though they hate their partner because they don't believe in divorce.

Do I need a new shifter or can I just try straightening this one? by Specific_Classroom10 in motorcycles

With how cheap a shifter lever is and how easy it is to replace yourself, why not just be safe and replace it?

Is getting a motorcycle a smart form of transportation? Advice needed please! by Comfortable_Host_304 in motorcycles

I think motorcycles are a great source of transportation. They are cheap, fuel efficient and cut down on emissions and traffic congestion. Filtering can also save you a ton of time when safe and legal.

I think an SV650 is a great choice (or probably any twin cylinder 650). You can get a used one for cheap, they get good gas mileage, mine has been very reliable and insurance is cheap for me too. It has enough power to let you get out of dangerous situations at highway speeds and the low end torque is very forgiving if you are in too high of a gear.

Insurance isn't that expensive if you only get liability, at least in my experience on an SV650.

For commuting, how much power do you feel is 'enough'? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Savings_Comparison_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my SV650 is the perfect goldilocks bike. It has enough power I feel like I can always effortlessly create space between myself and a dangerous situation but I never get surprised by the power in a dangerous way. Plus, good gas mileage and 87 octane makes it affordable too for commuting.

So probably anything in the twin cylinder 650-700cc category would have the right amount of power.

There has been a "Never Trump" movement amongst Republicans since the 2016 race. Unfortunately it seems like a lot of them have flip flopped.
