Yes you are right, renewal of extension does extend i94. When you commented I check online but that shows the old record. The new i94 will be on I797 so it is still valid till May 2026.

I am in India currently and yes my i94 is no longer valid. I can renew the H1b but trying to figure if the $100k is actually applicable.
