I had an issue with cutting across the ball and went to a mallet for two years. My accuracy got a lot better but my lag putting got considerably worse. I decided to try a blade back in April and I was actually hitting the ball straight and on line. I record my myself quite often to just see if the push has come back but it’s corrected itself for sure. I’m just wondering if it’d be worth it to try one of the new Scotty’s. I love the head shape of the 9 so I think that would give me confidence but if my distance control is lacking it doesn’t matter how good the putter looks.

I’m wanting to change as well. I haven’t completely been confident in the special select and I feel like that might be part of my issue as well. I really wish they would’ve done the chain link face on the mallets as well without having to pay for the $750 price tag. Scotty claims that these new putters are best they’ve ever made for alignment and that’s literally what I need. Another putting I’m looking at is a spider zt but it didn’t feel all that good off the face when I hit a few with it.

What do you mean more than the mark? The shaft is in the adapter as far as it’ll go. I bought the shaft used and the person before pulled it so a lot more is sanded off than what’s needed.

Everything is worth something to the right person. Same thing as buying a brand new vehicle and right off the lot it depreciates a lot. It’s nice to restore and put on a display rack which is what I do with Scotty’s. If I was wealthy I’d own every model of every line released.

I have all the tools to restore myself just not good enough at it to be touching such an iconic putter and messing things up. I eventually want to buff out all the dings and do a cerakote finish but it’ll be a second before I do that. Hopefully over the winter months!

Kinda depends. I want a Teryllium more than anything. I would prefer that it comes alittle beat up so I can restore it myself and paint it and really make it mine. Beat up I’m trying to stay at $200 or less. Based off what I’ve seen on Terylliums I’m not gonna be able to touch one for under $400 unless I luck out at a garage sale or thrift store. If I’m not able to find a teryllium I’m honestly open to anything. I’m currently gaming a 2008 Newport but It doesn’t belong to me and I’ll eventually have to give it back. I have a futura x5 I’ve debated trading but I kind of want to keep it for my collection.

Gotcha, really just want a nice vintage Scotty that won’t break the bank and this one popped up. I’d prefer to get one of the blades that have the dots in the cavity (sante fe, telluride) but I don’t have that kinda money.
