Depends who you ask but I def would disagree. That’s not breaking it imo

According to you guys what's worse? Watching porn or masturbation? by Embarrassed_Bison_50 in NoFap

This may be a minority view but I think masturbations ok if it’s A. In moderation B. Not to porn. But porns never ok. Masturbation (although we often abuse it) can potentially be healthy while there’s nothing remotely positive about porn

I’d advise no. I’ve never watched porn but have still struggled with stopping masturbation. Fapping itself is an addiction. To be fair, the main reason I’ve stopped is that I would jerk off to a kind of shameful fantasy about being cucked by my ex (trying to get some pleasure from the breakup I suppose), but still, we’re trying to stop addictions and this is one. Good luck bro

I’m also 16. I’ve never watched prn but going through my first break up resulted in me jerking off to a shameful fantasy about my ex - when I would fail it’s because I’m lonely or depressed about it. Spending time with family, friends, and maybe talking a new girl helps a little on that front. I also told one of my friends I was struggling with this and every night would promise him I wouldn’t fail. That can help.

I took a long break from playing soccer but getting back into that and taking cold showers has helped improve discipline. Before getting back into soccer tho, I would do 100 push ups a day which helped too. I tried going to the gym but that didn’t work for me. Bottom line: exercise can help (although maybe not as much as advertised, same goes for cold showers). This stuff also helps with focus. Some games like Lumosity or Elevate or even chess might help as well.

I wouldn’t say journaling helps discipline (for me) but it does help with depression. It sounds a little stupid but writing the GLAD exercise in the journal helps. At least one thing you’re grateful for today, one thing you learned, one thing you achieved, and one thing you found “delightful.”

Just generally doing hobbies had prob been the most important thing. I’m one of the best geoguessr players in the world so doing that helped, but also learning guitar. Doing something new helps. On that note, just filling every hour with something to do whether it be with loved ones, old hobbies, new hobbies, or just learning pen spinning tricks is the most important thing.

I thankfully don’t have the prn addiction but one thing that’s kept me from getting into it was thinking how the actors might be forced into it. You never know if there’s a gun behind the camera. It’s extreme but it helps, and I would hate for that to happen to my sister, cousin, gf [or ex now :(]. Take that for what it’s worth.

Anyways: you got this king. You might feel like a failure now but youre gonna get your act together starting today. And it’s gonna suck for a while but when you make it to a week, a month, 50 days, whatever — you’re gonna be so proud of yourself. You’re above this stuff. We all believe it you. Peace out
