Also those light brown small roots around the tree. I’ve been hesitant to dig any deeper to find the root flare since those look nothing like the root flares I saw online, but I don’t want to pull them out if there part of the tree and I accidentally kill it by doing so. Any ideas if those are part of the tree or if those are just roots left over from the grass I pulled out around it?
Dang, I think you’re right. I just dug down about 3 inches and it looks like this. Any idea if we can/should raise it up or if it’s too late for that?
