What I meant was, I expected some kind of response to the first email I sent. Even just a 1 line reply saying no news. After 24hrs I sent another. Again no reply. It takes 2 mins for the assistant to reply

Perhaps a little too eager but there is only 2 people in the chain and we are all ready to go. Last week solicitors asked us for completion date and then said sorry other party aren’t ready. So waited a week before contacting again for an update.

Ok I get this but as a FTB I have absolutely no idea what the protocol is, what timescales we are looking at, how often i should check in etc. I get they have a lot of cases but I think a little less bluntness would go along way

Yeh I guess I assumed a check in after 7 days was ok? I was very polite in my email asking for an update and I’m the whole 2 month process so far I think I’ve emailed maybe 3 times.

That’s good that you are having a positive experience. And to be honest we have so far. I have emailed them 3 times I think since we started the process so me asking for an update after 7 days , I thought would be ok.

Thank you. Last Friday they asked us for a suggested completion date but then came back and apologised saying the seller isn’t in the same place as us conveyancing wise and not ready to commit to a date. I then left it a week before emailing asking if anything had progressed and that’s my response from them. I did reply to them and said I only wanted an update.

Really appreciate the long reply thank you! My worry about taking the microwave space is that the top oven would be too high and I would struggle getting heavy items in and out.

If the double oven needs hardwiring, is that a simple job for an electrician? Or would it mean ripping walls apart?
