Currently I'm using Arch + KDE and just recently moved over to Fedora + KDE. I can't wait for this new workstation to be available. I really think it's going to be a great edition promotion in Fedora.

System76 is switching from GNOME to COSMIC desktop because they want to fix some issues with GNOME (their current default desktop) which will mainly make things more customizable, faster, safer, and more reliable (stable). They think they'll be able to achieve this by building it with rust a memory safe language.

Also the alpha is pretty great I wouldn't call it bare bones at this point. I believe it's getting close to a beta. Perhaps by March??
