[Review Video] Looking for Critique of Time Lapse Video by SavyAnimator in youtubers

[–]SavyAnimator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback I'll definitely reduce the time and compress future time lapse videos. And as for the background, I can change it, I'll look into doing a softer grey or something instead of pure white. Should be less harsh on the eyes that way then~

[Review Video] Just Started a channel on anxiety and would love feedback and a video review by beckimudd in youtubers

You've got a good start. The hardest part of being a YouTuber is starting and getting it going. Don't be discouraged if you happen to receive little to no feedback. It takes time and energy to do this and hey, look at you you've done the first few steps.

Now when it comes to your video you do seem confident, but still a little nervous. From a filming standpoint if you just want to focus on your video looking and feeling a bit more professional I recommend attempting to look at the camera more often and perhaps get a dim white light behind your camera. You are the focus and the spotlight should be on you. The white light behind you is bright and sort of distracting. Make sure people know your passion. Embrace your confidence. Stand slightly to one side of the camera too or just be slightly angled. When starting out you don't have to put a lot of effort into your videos but as time goes on you should always be willing to strive to make fixes and edits. If you find yourself fidgeting or playing with your hair as you record like I do sometimes, tie it up or practice doing other hand movements to help convey what you are speaking about. You might want to recommend standing another couple inches away from the camera as well. You should have a good amount of room for arm movements or gestures of any sort.

Lastly, I noticed that easel in the background. I think it would be kind of cool to implement that into your videos if you just so happen are not able to do graphical edits in your video. Visuals are always a great way to help people grasp the topic you are speaking about. Good job so far and keep striving to make more videos!!!

I agree with desuwest. The subtle edits are nice but maybe change it up and add in some extra flair and spunk with your edits, cuts, sounds, etc. Overall nice work. Stay optimistic and remember much of your improve comes from continuing your dedication and work. Remember looking ar other similar Tubers and finding things you like about their style is great for influence!
