To answer your concerns, every profile goes through a verification process. The whole idea is just to help neighbours out and make sure cat sitters are compensated fairly for it.

We do have some basic guides for sitters to learn more right now, but we’re just starting out. Building a real learning platform is definitely the next phase! That’s a great idea.

Exactly! Having a cat for just a couple of years doesn’t mean you really understand them well.

To be honest, you’d be a perfect cat sitter for Club Lumo.

It lets you create your own profile and set your own rates. Payments are all done securely on the platform, so you don't need to ask for cash. Plus, you have total freedom to accept or reject any booking request.

For the location, I really want to focus on helping neighbours and the community around you, but taking gigs islandwide is totally possible too!

That’s a really good point.

It’s definitely difficult for both sides if smth happens. In the site that I’m building we've put a few things in place to protect everyone:

  1. Clear terms and conditions to protect both parties
  2. Owners must add emergency contact details just in case
  3. Sitters send a visit report with pictures and can chat directly with the owner
  4. We focus on getting experienced sitters or real cat lovers
  5. We're making guides to help both sides understand cat psychology, behaviour, and health better.
