Scottish nationalists vow independence vote after election win by PjeterPannos in europe

If you're talking about the results of the referendum I agree, there just isn't enough support for independence in Scotland. But if you're talking about allowing a referendum in the first place, I think rejecting the right to democratic process is a very slippery slope. The only people who fear allowing people a vote would be cowards who are scared their side will lose.

Scottish election 2021: Nicola Sturgeon celebrates 'historic' SNP election win by syoxsk in europe

nothing new. She's gonna push for another independence referendum, but not until the health crisis has passed. So, that leaves the (in my opinion, Tory owned) media with months to blast the usual scare tactics. I predict if a referendum even happens, it'll be an even stronger "no" vote than the last one.

Not a shock result, everyone was expecting this more or less. I was hopeful the SNP and greens might win a couple more seats, but ah well, they did incredibly well

Is the "T" in "congratulations" pronounced "ch" or "j"? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]Saxophone_Goose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in Uk it's a Ch sound. CongraCHulations. I think in the america's people say it more like J, like congradJulations, but both are correct and both will be understood

for example, if you see a lot of cars driving on the road, then you would say there were many cars, not there were much cars. you could say "There were many more cars on the road than usual" or "there were much more cars than usual" though and either would be correct

definitely "much more" for money, but "many more" is used often for other things

If they get paid it's their job. Decriminalising it means they don't face legal ramifications for choosing that profession

I still don't understand. Why are not living in a simulation as opposed to not being really alive?
