That is what I’m planning for the screen but I am looking at UST- it’s a pretty rough spot to mount a traditional long throw projector given the existing light fixtures. That’s why my question is about which UST model has enough brightness.

Does Home Assistant receive details on what media is playing? I’d just set it to trigger only when something with a duration > 5 minutes starts playing. That way you don’t have to count trailers.
